Welcome.
If work feels like a bit too much right now,
Too many things to do,
Not enough time,
Not knowing where to start,
That's okay,
Nothing has gone wrong.
Just taking a moment to pause here,
Moving into a comfortable position,
Back supported,
Head free,
And gently softening your gaze or closing your eyes and taking one slow breath in and out at your own pace now.
Then letting the breath return to its natural rhythm.
Now bringing your awareness into your body,
Noticing where you're being supported,
The weight of your body in the chair,
Your back and legs against the surface beneath you,
Your feet on the floor.
Gently letting your shoulders soften even slightly if it's available for you and clenching the jaw,
Softening the forehead and eyes,
Simply allowing the body to sink a little more into the chair beneath you,
Knowing there's nothing you need to hold on to right now.
And if your mind is still moving,
Jumping between tasks,
Thinking about everything you need to do,
That's okay,
You don't need to organize it right now,
You don't need to figure it all out,
Just letting everything be here as it is for you right now.
The pressure,
The urgency,
The thoughts,
Nothing needs to be done about it in this moment.
And then whenever you notice your mind is drifting,
Gently returning to the feeling of your body,
Feeling your feet on the ground,
Your body being supported by the surface beneath you.
And for the next few moments,
Just staying here,
Breathing,
Breathing,
Letting the body settle in its own time,
Nothing to solve,
Nowhere else to be,
Just this moment as it is right now.
And whenever you're ready,
Perhaps bringing some movement back into your fingers and toes and expanding that movement to the rest of your body,
Not needing to rush,
Knowing you can return to your work one thing at a time,
And gently opening your eyes and coming back to the room.
Knowing this meditation is available for you anytime you feel overwhelmed.
Thank you.
