If everything feels like a bit too much right now,
Like there's a lot on your mind or in your body,
You don't need to push any of that away.
Just take a few minutes to slow things down exactly as you are,
Inviting you to get into a comfortable position,
But knowing you can adjust your position if you need to at any time.
Simply letting your body settle,
Gently closing down your eyes or softening your gaze,
Taking one slow and steady breath in and out at your own pace,
Then letting your breath return to its natural rhythm,
Not trying to change anything,
But perhaps beginning to notice it as it is right now,
Then bringing your awareness into your body,
Noticing where you're being supported right now,
The chair beneath you,
The ground under your feet,
Perhaps letting your shoulders soften even slightly,
Noticing your hands wherever they're resting,
Perhaps letting your jaw relax,
There's nothing you need to hold on to right now,
And if everything feels like a lot that's okay,
You don't need to sort through it right now,
You don't need to make sense of it,
Just letting everything be here without needing to do anything about it,
Thoughts,
Feelings,
Tension,
Just noticing it's here and allowing it to be,
And staying with your body,
Feeling your feet on the ground,
Feeling your body being supported,
Letting that be the place you come back to,
And for the next few moments just staying here,
Breathing,
Letting the body settle in its own time,
Nothing to solve,
Nowhere else to be,
Just this moment as it is right now,
And then letting go of your body and simply resting for the last few moments,
Nothing to do here,
I'll tell you when it's time,
And gently deepening your breath,
Bringing awareness back into your fingers and toes,
And expanding that to the rest of your body,
And then slowly opening your eyes and coming back,
Thank you for meditating with me today.
