Meditation.

Welcome everything.

Meditation is about letting go of control.

Concentration is a discipline,

A way of controlling our experience.

Meditation is about letting be and welcoming everything as it is.

Relax.

Make yourself comfortable.

Feel your body as you're sitting.

Notice your feet on the floor.

Feel the breath as it enters your nose and flows down to the stomach and all the way back.

Expand your attention to the sensations in the body.

Where can you feel pressure,

Tingling,

Warmth,

Coolness?

Can you feel the air on your skin?

Can you feel the sensations in the whole body at once?

Become aware of the space above your head.

How far does it extend?

Expand your awareness to the left,

To the right,

Below you.

Expand your awareness behind you and then in front of you.

Feel the space all around you.

Stretch your awareness as far as you can in all directions.

Can you allow yourself to feel the spaciousness?

Notice that all activities of body and mind arise in this open,

Welcoming space.

There's neither inside nor outside.

Yet all thoughts and feelings arise.

Observe them without losing yourself in them.

Let them fly by like birds without leaving a trace.

Thoughts and sensations come and go in the wide open space.

Be aware of the space in which everything arises and dissolves.

Note,

Everything that we give space to can change.

Surrender to spacious awareness.

It is vast,

With neither shape nor color,

Neither age nor gender.

It can neither be hurt nor disturbed.

Feel that you yourself are this vastness and now you can welcome everything.

Feel your body again and notice it breathing by itself.
