Compassion helps us to accept others as they are.
When we're angry with someone,
We are reacting to the memory of something that we feel was done to us.
If we can meet difficult people with compassion,
They absorb our minds less.
Make yourself comfortable and feel at ease.
Notice how your body is sitting.
Think of a situation where you felt really happy.
Where in the body do you feel it?
Now concentrate this feeling as a small pearl of white light shining in the center of your chest.
Feel the light radiating from your heart,
Filling your whole body and your mind,
Your whole being.
Any obscuration,
Obstacle,
Or challenge dissolves into light.
Happiness and confidence shine throughout your body.
Now open your attention to the outside.
You're surrounded by space.
Let the light inside you radiate outwards in all directions.
Think of a person who made you angry or hurt you.
Feel the pearl of white light in your chest and send a beam of love from your chest to the other person.
Hold nothing back.
Feel the light and love entering him or her.
And notice that you now feel one with him or her.
Feel yourself filled with infinite love and at peace.
Imagine planet Earth with all living beings in front of you.
Send infinite rays of light from the pearl in your heart to their hearts and the Earth.
Share your light and love with all beings.
Feel the joy,
Peace,
And harmony connecting you to everyone and everything.
The Earth and the beings radiate love.
They send rays of light back to your heart.
Open your heart and accept it gratefully.
By welcoming the love,
Everything melts into a boundless field of bliss.
Let go of all appearances.
Rest in the silence and the clarity of your consciousness.
May all beings live in peace and harmony.
