Come to a comfortable seat,
Breathing in,
Feeling the skin on the top of your head letting go as the muscles relax.
And the eyes soften,
The ears soften as you breathe in,
And the jaw relaxes,
Letting all the tension of the day flow out of us.
As we breathe in and feel the soft rise and fall of the belly,
As we go a little deeper,
Relaxing,
Letting our thoughts slip away,
Let them go by as clouds.
Noticing and letting go,
Entering into this space.
Letting go of fears,
Breathing in positive light,
Letting go of negativity.
See if there's something we can't quite let go of,
Something that seems to get in the way of your thinking.
It's almost like an obsession,
Keep ending back at the same thing,
Thinking about it.
Breathing in,
We see this thing,
This obsession in our hands and feel our powerlessness over it.
Perhaps we can take a chance and raise our hands towards the light,
Towards something greater than ourselves,
Something outside of ourselves.
See that we are powerless,
Maybe something other than ourselves could help us.
Like a butterfly that struggles in the cocoon to be free,
To finally,
Really take that step forward,
To come out and emerge as a beautiful butterfly.
We're like a little baby to take our first step,
To loosen our grip on this situation and ask for help.
But hold on so tightly,
Letting go is far easier.
To come with an open heart and say you can't do this on your willpower,
That you need help.
There is victory in that surrender.
There is freeness to that surrender.
Feeling your breath come back into your body.
Find yourself.
