Through guided meditation, you’ll begin to reclaim your vulnerability as a sacred strength, making space for the love you truly desire.

I want you to visualize that you are lying on a beautiful white sand beach,

Facing an endless deep blue ocean.

The sky is clear and blue.

The sun is shining brightly and the sand beneath you is warm and nurturing.

Close your eyes and face the sun,

Letting its warmth wash over your face.

Breathe deeply and let the smell of the salty air flare up your nose.

Flow through your entire body,

Releasing tension and instilling within you a state of peace.

The only thing you can hear is the wind rustling through the pine leaves and the waves washing up and down the coast.

In this moment,

Nothing else matters other than your time alone on the beach.

You're in complete peace and harmony with nature,

Away from the external stresses of your day,

And in tune with yourself.

As you turn your head to face the ocean,

Allow your gaze to wander over the water and take in the endless blue.

The element of water is associated with your emotions,

And specifically your unconscious emotions.

The instability of water matches the ephemeral nature of your emotions,

Which is probably why being close to large masses of water increases your vulnerability.

The depth of the ocean matches the depth and complexity of human emotions.

You'll find that when you expose yourself to a large mass of water,

Such as the sea or the ocean,

Your emotional barriers drop and your heart chakra opens.

You suddenly feel more emotional.

You start reminiscing the past.

Rethinking your present and making plans for your future.

With this in mind,

Keep your eyes softly fixated on the beautiful ocean facing you and give yourself permission to be vulnerable.

Breathe in deeply and notice how suppressed,

Unconscious emotions start coming up now.

Notice where they are stored in your body and how they move through your body.

Don't try to analyze or make sense of them right now.

Just acknowledge and welcome them.

This is not a problem-solving session.

You're just saying hi.

You're simply allowing yourself to feel emotions that you may have suppressed in the past,

Or just didn't get the chance to deal with them yet.

If you need to cry,

Please allow yourself to cry.

Unlike what many people may think,

Crying doesn't create negativity.

It releases it.

Let it all out and out.

Coordinate your breathing with a cycle of the waves,

Swashing and buck-washing up and down the beach.

While your eyes open even wider to take in the ocean's blue.

As you've become more and more comfortable with unconscious emotions coming up,

And as you've allowed yourself to connect with the element of water,

You have an urge to stand up and make your way into the ocean.

Although allowing yourself to be vulnerable felt uneasy at first,

You felt the sense of relief that came as a result,

And you want to experience more.

As soon as your feet touch the cool,

Foaming water,

You notice a moving shadow zooming in from underwater,

Just a few meters ahead of you.

Although cautious at first,

Something within you assures you that there is nothing to be afraid of.

As the figure zooms in closer and closer,

It eventually pops its head to the surface of the water,

And you instantly know what it is.

You've just had your first encounter with a mermaid.

She's looking at you through piercing,

Blue-green eyes which paralyze you.

You are completely mesmerized by her presence.

Whether mermaids have existed in real life or not is irrelevant.

What is relevant is the way we have portrayed and worked with mermaids through time.

Spiritually,

Mermaids are the way we have portrayed the spirit and consciousness of the world's lakes,

Seas,

Oceans,

And water in general.

The peace,

Vulnerability,

And open-heartedness you feel when you expose yourself to water is the spirit of water communicating with you.

A spirit we have portrayed as a half-human,

Half-fish being we termed mermaid.

Different expressions of water features have different types of mermaids guiding them.

And human history is rampant with myths and stories of mermaids of all kinds and forms.

In this meditation series,

You are going to work specifically with the ocean mermaids,

The sea mermaids.

The depth and complexity of the ocean will allow you to unveil and heal suppressed,

Unconscious emotions relating to your past relationships,

Find forgiveness,

And create a fulfilling relationship that's free from stereotypical rules and boundaries.

As you feel more comfortable in the presence of your mermaid guide,

Take a step further into the water,

Declaring your willingness to go through this journey together.

She is smiling at you,

Proud of your decision,

And eager to spend this time with you.

Take some time now to get to know your mermaid guide.

Ask for her or his name.

Notice how she looks.

Ask for her purpose to working with you in this lifetime.

And get to know your mermaid guide in the same way you would if you were to make a new friend.

Your mermaid guide has been assigned to work with you in this lifetime,

To help you explore the depth of your unconscious mind and guide your road to love.

I'll give you some time to do that now.

As you walk deeper into the water towards her,

Invite all the suppressed,

Unexpressed,

Unconscious emotions relating to past romantic relationships to come to the surface.

Bring into your mind ex-partners,

Past hurts,

And events from your past that have influenced your life in a negative way.

Nurtured by the ocean's water and guided by your mermaid,

You're in the safest space to do that now.

Allow yourself to get real.

Allow yourself to be vulnerable.

Allow yourself to cry.

It is safe for you to cry.

How have you been hurt in past romantic relationships?

Who were the people involved?

And how did you feel as a result?

How have you been victimized in past romantic relationships?

How have you victimized yourself in past romantic relationships?

And how do you feel about that?

Which friends,

Family members,

Or acquaintances have contributed to you being hurt in past romantic relationships?

How do you feel about it?

How has your parents' relationship influenced your romantic relationships?

And how do you feel about that?

All these unexpressed emotions have solidified in your body for years,

And salt water has the power to soften them,

Melt them,

Allow them to run free.

As more and more emotions come to the surface,

Your mermaid guide grabs your hands and looks you in the eyes,

Encouraging you and assuring you that all will be well.

Holding hands with your mermaid guide,

Allow yourself to submerge your entire body under the water,

Burying yourself in the silence of the ocean.

Let stuck emotions unwind.

Allow yourself to be even more vulnerable.

Let emotional wounds open widely,

And let the healing energy of water mend them.

With your mind's eye,

See the emotion's energy being drawn out of your body,

Flushing out of your being into the ocean.

It is safe for you to be vulnerable.

It is safe for you to be real.

You are empty now.

You've released plenty.

You've done good.

Your mermaid guide is proud of you.

The ocean is proud of you.

Feel its waves hugging you,

Comforting you,

Loving you,

Reassuring you.

Bask in this state of safety and know that you've just taken the first big step to healing past hurts and laying the groundwork for a truly fulfilling relationship.

In this state of relief,

Safety,

And possibility,

Start coming back to the present moment.

Breathe in more intensely.

Move your hands and wrists around.

Maybe move your head around clockwise and anticlockwise.

And when you're ready,

Take a long,

Deep breath in.

Hold it.

Smile.

Open your eyes and release.
