Welcome to a meditation for ocean breath rhythm,

To find your rhythm and be like the ocean.

This is a simple and short meditation to track your rhythm through your breath.

Wherever you are,

Come to a comfortable position where you can relax your body as much as possible,

Whether that's seated or lying down.

Move around a little,

Get all the uncomfortableness out and really settle in.

We're only going to be here for a few minutes.

Feel your body making contact with whatever surface you're on and really sink in and feel comfortable,

Allowing your breath to freely flow and notice how it's coming and going just as it is without changing it.

Just like the ocean,

Sometimes our breath is deep and sometimes it's shallow.

Sometimes it's more frantic.

Sometimes it's like slow.

It's like almost not even there.

And we're going to track our breath together.

So as your breath is coming and going,

The inhale is like the ocean rising and the exhale is like the waves crashing on the shore.

So as you breathe,

Imagine your breath in as the ocean waves coming up and then your breath out as the waves crashing on the shore.

And as you are exhaling,

Just let it fall out.

There's no pushing,

It's more letting the cascade of breath just effortlessly come out.

And I like to have my breath come into my belly and then up into my chest so it's almost like my body becomes a wave as well.

So into the belly,

Into the chest and then out,

Just letting it all go out.

Continue following your breath in and out,

Imagining each breath you're taking as the ocean waves ebbing and flowing.

Your body knows your rhythm and your breath is like the ocean.

In this moment,

You are ebbing and flowing.

Feel this sense that you are the wide expanse of the ocean.
