Welcome to a meditation for when you just need a second.
When everything around you is just getting to be a bit too much.
You haven't been listening to yourself about needing some time and space.
And so now you're ready to take that time and space,
Even if it's just for a couple of minutes.
It's so worth it.
It's so necessary.
And just in case your mind is telling you that it's not allowed or make you feel guilty,
A couple minutes is actually going to help you continue on with whatever else you need to do and the people you need to help.
Find a little space where you can have some quiet time,
Even if it's like a closet or just closing your eyes in your car,
Wherever it is,
It doesn't matter.
Wherever it is,
It doesn't matter.
So if you're able to close your eyes,
I would suggest that.
And if not,
Then leave them slightly open,
A soft gaze down and take a few deep breaths.
Just sigh it out.
Sigh it out.
Let that sigh come out however it needs to.
Incidentally,
There is a meditation just on sighing if you like to sigh.
Sense any shifts that have happened just from the deep breaths and the sighing.
Maybe just scan all the places that there's weight from your body into the surface that you're on.
So if you're lying down,
It would be the whole backside of your body from your feet to your head.
Feel all the differences and how some parts of your body are heavier and lighter.
Just take a minute to sense how that feels.
Your body connecting to the space around your body.
How does that feel?
What are the sensations?
And if you'd like to end this by giving yourself a soothing scalp massage using firm pressure with the tips of your fingers into your scalp.
Feel your scalp.
Feel the pressure points all throughout your whole top of your head.
Let it out.
Open your eyes.
