This is a meditation to explore creating peace and balance within the system.

Wherever you are,

The first thing we're gonna do is ground and we're gonna look around the room.

Slowly take in your surroundings.

Slowly turn the head from side to side and up and down.

Maybe even look in back of you.

Notice if the breath shifts as you do this and once you do that,

Going to bring your attention to where your seat meets whatever you're sitting on.

Feeling the sensation of the contact and the heaviness where your body is meeting the surface you're on.

And again,

Noticing is your breath changing,

Deepening?

Is your body feeling maybe a little bit more relaxed now that we're bringing some attention into it?

And I'm gonna invite you to close your eyes now if that feels good to you.

If not,

You can keep them open or half open.

But now we're going to go into the mind and the thoughts that cycle through our mind.

Sometimes in ways that we don't even track because they're so part of our loop.

See what comes up.

If you have any favorite ones like you're not doing it right or you're not good enough or you're too much or whatever,

Those are some of mine.

If whatever yours might be.

I'm wondering when those come up do you notice how your body reacts?

Does your breath tighten?

Does your body constrict?

Now as those thoughts come,

See them as objects passing through on a cloud.

They're just coming through.

They're just blowing through.

There's no need to latch on to them.

They come and they go.

They come and they go.

Let them go.

Maybe take a few more deep breaths.

This eye feels good to me right now.

Maybe it does to you too.

I'm letting those thoughts go and creating space to just be.

And those thoughts I know are there to protect me and keep me safe and so I think the thought and I let it go over and over again.

And I know that through the practice of that,

That one day maybe they won't be there as loud.

And with that space that's been created by letting the thoughts go,

I'm wondering now what thought might be a supportive one in replacing the other one.

Something that feels true to you.

Maybe I am peaceful and calm and balanced in my emotions and my thoughts and my being.

I'm breathing that in.

I'm repeating that a few times to yourself.

Taking some deep breaths.

Breathing it in to your beingness.

Maybe noticing if your body is relaxing again.

Maybe it's taking deeper breaths.

Maybe your shoulders are relaxing now.

Maybe your belly can now be soft with the deeper breaths.

Maybe there's some tension because maybe it feels uncomfortable to replace those other negative pattern thoughts with something that might be helpful.

Maybe some emotions are coming up.

Some grief that you beat yourself up so much every day and you're actually doing a lot that you don't even give yourself credit for.

Noting that settle and knowing that taking the time to be with yourself and bringing an intention of peace and balance into the daily chaos of life is so supportive.

I hope that that was a little respite from the overwhelm or the busyness of your day and that it's a daily practice to come back to again and again.
