Hello and welcome to a meditation to release overwhelm.
So before we get started,
Maybe shake out a little bit of the tension you're feeling,
Maybe scream,
Maybe yell,
Maybe do whatever you need to do to sort of like,
You know,
Shake it off a little.
And then once you've done that,
Let's take a few deep breaths at your own pace,
Expanding the belly,
Moving the breath up into the chest.
And then just letting it go.
Do that a few times in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And before you completely close your eyes,
Just check out your surroundings really quick.
See where you are,
Notice some things.
Make sure that you're in a super comfortable position,
Get as comfy as you possibly can.
And then go ahead and close your eyes when you feel ready.
We are letting everything disappear.
There is nothing that you need to worry about right now,
Except for relaxing as much as you possibly can and allowing your brain to simply fly away somewhere else,
Give it a chore.
We're not doing the brain or mind thing right now.
We are really just being here and allowing the body to incrementally become more and more relaxed.
So thank you brain,
You're off to do your chore.
All of the overwhelm usually for me comes from outside sources.
So let's go ahead and create some sort of force field around yourself so that you are pushing out whatever these outside influences are.
They could be people,
It could be work pressure,
It could be your own self judgment,
It could be so many things.
And we're just going to kindly kick them out like we kicked out our brains.
And then we're going to from the inside out start spinning a light in the middle of your chest and it becomes bigger and bigger and bigger until it cleanses and clears your whole body and out into your aura and around your body for about three feet.
So you are now encased in your own energy,
In your bubble and you get to just be you for these few minutes right here.
We're going to do a quick body scan and really the scan is about giving the different parts of the body attention and allowing those parts to relax.
So we'll start at the feet,
Feel the feet,
The toes,
The bottoms of the feet,
The tops of the feet,
The heels.
Allow them to simply relax or you could flex or you know kind of scrunch your foot and then let it go.
And then the ankle,
The calf,
The shin.
Again you can flex your calf muscle and then let it go.
And your knees and the back of the knees and your thighs.
Maybe give them a touch or maybe flex them and let them relax.
And then into the pelvis,
All of your reproductive organs,
Your gluteus muscles.
Give a squeeze and then let it go,
Relax.
Take a few deep breaths here and into the stomach,
The abdomen,
The sides of the body,
The lower back,
The spine,
The upper back,
The ribs.
And up into the chest,
The upper body,
The lungs,
All of the intricate muscles that keep you upright.
Your shoulders and clavicle.
Maybe shrug your shoulders and then let it relax.
Your arms,
Your upper arms,
Your elbows,
Your forearms and your hands.
All the muscles in your hands,
All the things you do with your hands.
Deep breath and relax.
Up into the neck where a voice comes from,
All those muscles they take on so much stress.
If it feels good you could put your hand along the sides of your neck.
Take a deep breath and let it go.
Up into the jaw,
The sides of the face,
The whole face,
The nose,
The eyes,
The forehead,
The temples,
The top of the head,
The sides of the head,
The back of the head,
The ears.
Maybe take your fingertips and give yourself a little bit of a scalp massage if that feels good.
You warm up your hands by rubbing them together and then just gently place them across your face however it feels good.
Just taking a deep breath,
Feel that relaxation.
Take a few more deep breaths and settle in and feel your whole body as one unit carrying you through this life,
Experiencing this life through all your senses.
Knowing the miracles of life through the experience of the senses,
Our beautiful senses that help us understand and navigate our lifetimes and all the different capabilities we all have.
With that,
I hope you found some relief from any overwhelm you might have been feeling.
You can invite your brain to come back,
Your body and your senses to come back,
Or you might want to lie here for a little bit longer and feel the relaxation because it can be so soothing and relieving to give yourself a little bit of space even if it's just a few minutes among all of the chaos and overwhelm that this world can sometimes bring.
Until next time.
