Welcome to your mindful reset,
A meditation to get unstuck from fear.
Fear can feel paralyzing,
Like something inside you wants to move forward,
But another part holds you back.
And that tension,
That push and pull,
Can feel exhausting.
So,
For the next few moments,
We're not here to fight the fear.
We're here to understand and honour it,
And gently loosen its grip.
Find a comfortable position,
And softly close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through the nose,
And exhale gently from the mouth.
Again,
Inhale through the nose,
And exhale from the mouth.
Let your body begin to settle.
Now gently bring to mind something that's been creating fear in you.
No need to go into the full story,
Just sensing it lightly.
And notice,
Where do you feel it in your body?
Maybe in your chest,
Your stomach,
Your throat.
Wherever it is,
Just bring your attention there.
Not to fix it,
Just to be with it.
Take a slow breath in,
And as you exhale,
Imagine creating a little space around that sensation.
We often tend to want to push fear away,
But it simply needs to be acknowledged.
Silently,
You might say,
I see you,
I feel you.
And notice what shifts even slightly.
Now gently remind yourself,
Fear is not here to stop you,
It's here to protect you.
Even if it's overreacting,
Even if it's outdated,
It's trying to keep you safe.
Take a deep breath in,
And exhale,
And instead of resisting it,
See if you can meet it with a little understanding.
Now imagine this fear softening,
Not disappearing completely,
But becoming less intense,
Less gripping,
Like a tight knot slowly loosening.
And under that fear,
There's another part of you,
A part that wants to grow,
To expand,
To move forward.
Bring your awareness to that part now.
What does it feel like?
Maybe it feels like curiosity,
Like possibility,
Like a quiet sense of trust.
Take a breath,
And gently give that part a little more space.
You might want to repeat silently,
I can move forward even with fear.
I don't need to wait for fear to disappear,
I trust myself.
Let those words settle.
Fear may still be there,
But it no longer has to leave.
Take one more deep breath in through the nose,
And a long slow exhale from the mouth.
Begin to feel your body again,
Grounded,
Present,
And a little more free.
And when you're ready,
Gently bring movement back,
And softly open your eyes.
Notice how the fearful energy has shifted,
Allowing you to move past it.
