
Dreaming Gates Practice - Enhance Your Lucid Dreaming Experience
Toltec seers work with dreaming and states of perception that accord with different areas of the body and their inherent qualities. They named these dreaming gates (just like the charkas in yoga). This meditation allows you to explore your physical and energy bodies on a deeper level. You will get to connect with the different levels of lucidity in dreaming that you have the potential to aquire in this lifetime. Ultimately, this guided meditation will deepen your sleep states, improve your sleep, and heighten the possibility of having a lucid dream. Please note: This practice contains elements of hypnosis.
Transcript
Let's dream together.
Take a pillow and a cover if you wish,
And lie down somewhere comfortable.
Adjust your body and find your most relaxing position.
Close your eyes and sink into the earth.
Lengthen your spine by moving your head and hips away from each other.
Open the legs a little wider than shoulder width,
And let the feet fall naturally to either side.
Have the palms facing upward to the sky.
Now relax into that position.
Just breathe and listen to my voice.
Let it be your guide.
Let's do some deep breathing together.
Inhale up the legs,
Pulling gently with the perineum.
And feel the breath filling the belly,
The solar plexus and the lungs.
And exhale with a long measured breath,
Giving back to the earth anything we don't need to enter into this dream together.
Repeat this breath deeply and naturally inhaling and exhaling for a while.
At each breath you will relax more.
At each breath you will let go more.
Your breath is all.
Enter into a deep alignment with your being.
Inhaling new energy.
Exhaling anything we don't need and deeply relaxing into the earth.
We're going to tense the body from the toes up to the head.
We're going to inhale from the toes and when the whole body is tense we will hold for a moment and then relax deeply.
Now tense the toes,
The soles of the feet,
The heels,
The ankles and the top of the feet.
Tense the calves,
The knees,
The thighs.
Come up to the sexual centre of the buttocks,
Tense the sacrum,
The lower spine,
The whole midsection,
The chest area,
Upper back,
Arms,
Shoulders,
Neck and head.
Hold this and relax in this long deep exhale.
Feel the natural wellbeing of the body.
Let's repeat this movement.
Tensing from the toes,
Up the legs,
Up the torso,
The shoulders,
The arms,
The neck,
The head.
Hold and deeply relax.
Again from the toes,
Up the legs,
The buttocks,
The torso,
Shoulders,
Arms,
Neck and head and hold.
In a long deep exhale.
Let's return to the regular breathing of the body,
Deeply and regularly,
Becoming aware of your own energy.
I am going to describe some movements of the body.
Yet do not engage your physical body.
Do not move physically but move in your awareness.
Imagine yourself doing these movements and connect deeply with your breath.
Feel the physicality of the toes on the right foot.
You can flex them.
Become aware of the sole of the foot,
The heel,
The ankle and the whole foot.
Move the ankles from side to side.
Circle them one way and then the other.
Become aware of the right calf,
The shin bone and front of the leg.
Flex the knee drawing the lower leg up towards the groin.
Circle the knee in and out.
First one way.
And then the other.
Become aware of the right thigh,
The right buttock and right groin area.
Continue up on the right.
Raise and lower the hip in your imagination a few times.
Connecting with the energy and the intent of this movement.
Feel the soft parts of the midsection on this side and the lower back.
Come up to the right ribs and upper back.
Feel the heart.
Come up to the shoulder and flex it one way and the other.
And then circle the shoulder backwards.
And forwards.
Circle the arm from the shoulder one way and then the other.
And then from the elbow,
Circling one way and the other.
Now the wrist,
Circling one way and then the other.
In your imagination,
Grasp the hand and open it.
Come up to the neck.
You can circle it one way.
And then the other.
Feel with your awareness the right side of the head and the face.
The eye,
The ear,
The right half of the nose and the mouth.
Let's repeat this on the left.
Flex your toes.
Become aware of the parts of your feet.
Move the ankles from side to side.
Circle them one way and then the other.
Come up to the shin and the calf.
Bring your leg up to the chest.
Circle the knee.
And then the other way.
Come up the thigh to the buttock and hip.
Raise and lower the hip.
Feel the sacrum and the lower spine and the midsection.
Come up to the rib on the left and the chest and upper back.
Here is the largest part of the heart.
Feel the left hand side of the heart.
Listen to its song as you breathe deeply.
Come up to the shoulder,
Just flex it backwards and forwards.
Circle the upper arm.
And the other way.
Circle from the elbow.
And return the other way.
And the wrist.
Come up the arm.
Up to the neck.
Move and circle it one way.
And then the other.
Become aware of the left side of the face and head.
The eye,
The ear,
The left hand side of the nose and mouth.
Breathe first into the right side.
Experiencing the right side of the body.
And exhale.
Inhale into the left hand side of the body.
And exhale.
Let's breathe deeply together,
Feeling our whole structure.
Breathe from the feet up the legs into the torso.
Inflating the lungs,
Breathing into the head.
And just hold the breath for a moment.
And exhale.
And in this long measured exhale you relax more.
Let's take a few more breaths together and stay in this rhythm of breath that we have established.
Just give your attention to the bones in your body.
Feel how they link and move by stretching in your imagination.
Feel the tendons that allow the bones to move.
And feel the muscles that work in concert with them.
Become aware of your organs.
Start with the sexual region.
Breathe into this area.
Now healing breath from the liver.
Energizing it and exhaling everything that the liver no longer needs.
You can breathe into the large and small intestine,
The stomach and the appendix.
Inflating the belly and deflating the belly,
Letting go.
Let's energize the pancreas and the spleen with a breath.
And again exhaling anything we no longer need.
Clearing the energy of the pancreas and spleen.
Come up to the lungs and send a smile to the lungs as we inhale.
And exhale.
Breathe into the heart.
Let your heart be your guide along with my voice in this healing exploration.
Come to the head and become aware of the eyes,
The ears,
The nose and the mouth.
Extend your awareness.
Increase the range of your seeing,
Hearing,
Smelling and tasting.
Become aware of your skin.
Feel this covering of your body and how it interacts with the air in your clothes.
Go deeper into your tissues.
See your blood system,
Your veins,
Arteries and capillaries.
And the heart that pumps round this red oxygenated life giving force into this network.
Breathe deeply and regularly.
Feeling these elements working together.
Feel the individual cells working together in concert.
Each one a center of intelligence.
Descend on a deeper level to your nervous system.
Feel these subtle fibers of awareness and the channels in which they operate.
This two-way network of information that joins all the parts of your body.
Now go deeper into your subtler bodies,
Through your thoughts,
Your emotions and into your energy body,
The force that you dream with.
Relax into this subtlety.
Relax into the energy body.
Call the energy body with your will.
You are a being of light,
An energy being.
Just feel the breath that links the seen and unseen elements of your awareness that makes perception impossible.
Listen to my voice.
I am going to count down from nine to zero.
At each number you will descend a step of a staircase deep into the body's natural intelligence.
You will relax deeper and deeper at each number.
However relaxed you become,
You will stay aware.
Dreaming with consciousness and clarity.
Intending that you receive this experience in its entirety and recall it on your return to waking consciousness.
Nine,
Relax.
Eight,
Deeper relaxation.
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Descending.
Four,
Another step.
Three,
Two,
One,
Zero.
The body is in deep rest and the perception is alive.
You are dreaming.
Let's take some deep relaxing breaths together.
Coming up the legs through the perineum to the torso.
Inhale deeply,
Taking your awareness to each part of the body as your breath comes up.
And as it recedes down the body,
Let the breath take away anything that would stand in the way of opening these driven gates.
Let's connect with the rhythm of your breath,
The natural deep rhythmic breathing that goes with heightened awareness.
Allow the body to soften.
Inhale and intend yourself deeper into this aware trance state that you have activated.
Relax.
Allow.
Breathe.
Enjoy.
Enjoy the simple sensations of this body dreaming itself alive in awareness and conscious initiation.
Enter into a trance of your own making where you are in command.
If you are relaxed,
Safe and empowered,
Allow the command of the opening of your dreaming gates one by one.
Relax deeply in your breath.
Let your attention come to the feet and toes,
Particularly the big toes on either feet.
Feel this vortex of energy.
See the arising of a call opening the breeze.
Enter into your feet with your consciousness.
Let any tiredness or tension release from you.
Energy is flowing here.
Enter into the mood of this gate in silence.
Follow the natural flow of your breath.
Bring your awareness to the heel and the ankle.
Feel everything opening to your command as you relax and enter into the physicality and beyond.
Feel the wings on your ankles opening and encouraging this free flow of energy.
Come into your calves.
Own your calves.
Feel this flow of energy as you come to command your feet and calves.
On an inhalation,
Feel your power.
Accent your awareness to this inflow of power with your breath.
Exhale and enter into the energy of this dreaming gate.
Bring that energy up the legs,
From the feet,
Up the calves to the thighs.
Feel your legs.
Occupy your legs with your consciousness.
Feel this gate of the legs opening.
Let your breath energise this foundation of your being.
Experience its acquiescence to this opening and relax into that opening.
Enter into the mood of this gate and follow the natural flow of your breath.
Breathe deeply,
Squeezing the perineum and feeling this energising breath come up the legs and into the perineum.
Feel your connection to your big toes,
Your feet,
Your legs,
Your calves and thighs.
Feel where it joins to the pelvic region.
Stop occupying that area.
Bring the breath further up.
Come up the legs into the upper body.
Become aware of the perineum,
Pelvic region.
Bring that energy up to the coccyx and so on.
Leave the energy there and just breathe out.
On an inhale we're energising the centre.
On an exhale we're letting go of anything that stands in the way of the free flow of energy in this dream gate.
Feel your being from the toes up to the sacrum.
Engage in bringing energy to this centre with the breath.
The in-breath inflates the belly and we get some gentle movement of the pelvis and on the out-breath the pelvis gently returns into the opposite direction.
Inhaling,
Connecting with the toes,
The legs,
Pelvic region,
Bringing energy up to this dream gate.
Energising through the perineum into the sacrum and the coccyx.
Enter into the mood of this gate.
Follow the natural flow of your breath.
Become aware of the midsection.
Let your consciousness explore this region from the line of the thighs where they join the body up to the line created by the lower edge of the ribs.
Feel the natural distension of the belly and in-breath.
And on an out-breath allow it to relax back towards the spine,
Relaxing the digestive organs.
Let your consciousness explore the midsection where not only our food is digested but the water.
This is a centre of high intelligence.
This is another brain in the body.
Inhale into the digestive organs.
Bring the power of good feeling to them and then relax all of the organs.
And on an out-breath take away anything that impairs their function and the function of free flow of energy at this gate.
Feel this gate open as we relax deeply into it.
Feel this cooling breath quench the fire of resistance to opening up to our nature of the belly.
Now breathe that energy not only into the belly but into the kidneys.
Feel the breath opening the kidneys and intending the free flow of energy here.
This is the centre of water.
This is the centre of unbending intent.
This is our power pack for life,
The kidneys and adrenals.
Feel the free flow of energy circulating in our body.
The belly and the kidneys and adrenals are the fourth gate.
Occupy the gates from the big toe up the leg to the perineum up to the sacrum,
Third gate and that dish of feeling and energy that is the abdomen and the kidneys and adrenals.
Feel the lower body empowering and opening the centre.
Feel the first,
Second,
Third and now the fourth gate open.
Circulate energy and dream with these open gates.
Just engage the solar plexus.
Cooling breath and energy into the body,
Inflating the belly and the kidneys empowering us and then exhaling and circulating this energy.
Take command of your structure.
Feel it and enjoy it.
Intend the free flow of energy through these gates.
Enter into the mood of this gate in silence and follow the natural flow of your breath.
Spend a moment in enjoying all the gifts of your life,
The abundance that these centres confer on us.
And just express your appreciation for this energising guided healing of these gates.
Glory in your life.
Feel the flow of intent that enlivens you.
Feel yourself dancing to the ebb and flow of your breath and feel their intrinsic oneness.
These are the gates of the lower body.
Just enter up into the heart centre,
Coming up into the intelligence of the upper body.
There is a free flow of information between the lower body and the upper body.
Through the ruler of the lower body,
The solar plexus and the ruler of the upper body,
The heart.
Just breathe deeply into the heart.
Here sits love and kindness.
Here you can dream in freedom.
Empowered by the lower body,
Connected to the solar plexus by the serous muscles and up with the breath into the heart.
The heart has its own natural rhythm.
Just tune into the rhythm of your heart.
Just feel the beating of your heart.
The body has its own natural wisdom and its own vision.
Enter into your unique heart's vision now.
Explore this deep sense of fulfilment that comes with expressing ourselves in our daily life.
Acting as we will to our heart's content.
Just enter into the mood of this gate.
Feel the free flow of energy of this heart centre,
This dreaming gate.
Just keep in the cycle of your breath,
Breathing up from the toes up to the legs,
The thighs,
The perineum,
The sacrum,
The belly,
The kidneys,
Up into the solar plexus and the heart.
And now come further up to the V of the neck and the throat.
And exhale down.
Just connect with this opening of these gates.
We can lift the chin slightly,
Encouraging the free flow of energy in this throat gate.
Just inhale.
Come up to the V of the neck.
Become aware of the whole area of the neck and the throat.
Just bring your consciousness here.
Here is the area of decisions.
Encourage the free flow of energy with the breath through this centre of decisions.
Energising,
Commanding the free flow of energy in this gate.
Just feel this area of the surrounding area of the neck.
This is also the centre of expression.
When we make clear decisions and are abandoned to them,
Then we can express these decisions to others with our voice.
And just intend the clear expressions of our heart path with our voice.
Intend clear communication with the world.
Just rest for a moment.
Follow the natural flow of your breath as you energise this gate on an in-breath,
Circulating the energy on the neck.
Feel your gates align.
Now relax the face.
Become aware of the skull that encases the brain.
Bring your attention to the brow and its centre,
The third eye,
The pineal gland and to the crown chakra that composes the seventh gate.
Put your consciousness into a spot at the back of the head and feel your silence.
Just breathe into your skull and into your brain.
And activate the pineal gland at the centre of your brain and the pituitary gland between the eyebrows,
The centre of this gate.
Stay with your breath,
Resonate with this gate and immerse yourself in it.
Become aware of the seventh gate of the crown of the head and breathe into this centre.
Resonate with this centre.
Receive any information.
Feel the opening of the third eye and the pineal gland and see them working in consciousness.
Opening these gates to sky energies,
To new information,
To the evolution of perception through these open gates and our alignment with star energy.
Feel these gates of dreaming awake in your consciousness.
Feel the infinite appreciation of space that exists.
Enhance your awareness with this energy.
Breathe into this centre and resonate with it.
Feel this magical connection in silence.
Feel this energy circulating in the brain and extending out,
Being informed by this sense of space and timelessness.

Enter through the crown centre and out into infinity.

Feel your power as you dream and enter through into this seventh gate.
Bask in the alignment and connection these open gates have allowed you.
Send your appreciation,
Your heart love and dream out to this infinity.
Command an acquiescence to the body's destiny.
Feel your acquiescence to this high wisdom and power.
Abandon yourself to this wave of energy and fulfil it as it applies to your own uniqueness.
Bask in what you are feeling and seeing.
Accept everything that is given you in this moment.
Visualise a life fulfilled and see the fulfilment of it in this moment.
Feel this fulfilment in this moment.
This moment is all and is your opportunity to dream and to fulfil your dream of being.
This moment is the seed of eternity.
It is the seed of deep presence.
It is the seed of consciousness.
Use the breath to empower you in your intent.
Let's gather this energy in our consciousness and bring it to the body.
Inhale through the crown centre all this star energy that relate to these upper centres.
Bring it down through the centres enlivening each with new energy as it reaches down the body to your earth connection.

Inhaling through the crown to the feet and exhaling circulating the star energy in the body.

I have done this exercise twice and it has been very effective. I have ended up in the vibrational state both times. The music and vocal effects are usually timed well, but occasionally they distract me. Like others, i thought the vocal echo, first person referencing, and posh accent were a little strange at first, but if you keep going it is worth it. I wish there was an even longer one because it seems to take me until the very end to begin traveling and I am saddened when i can finally "see" only to be pulled back right away. I know this is for dreaming, but it seems to cause me to start astral travel.

Beautiful from start to finish. In the recesses of my mind, my body can move however I need it to, beyond the physics of that on earth.
