Hello and welcome.
This is your gentle invitation to pause just for a few moments and allow your body,
Mind and breath to catch up with each other.
Whether your day has been gentle,
Busy,
Slow or maybe overwhelming,
This is your space to come back to yourself for a little reset to begin again.
So wherever you are,
I'd like you to take a moment just to feel comfortable,
Get comfy.
Maybe for you that's sitting down on a chair with your feet on the floor or perhaps lying back on a bed or a yoga mat if that feels better for you.
If it's in your practice to gently close your eyes then please do so or soften your gaze in front of you if this is more comfortable.
And however you've gotten comfy,
Just let your hands rest softly,
Maybe that's by your side or in your lap,
Let your shoulders come away from your ears and relax any tension that you may be feeling in your jaw.
And when you're ready,
I'd like you to take a slow but steady breath in through your nose and a long easy breath out through your mouth.
Nothing to force and nothing to fix,
Just a few deep breaths to welcome yourself back home.
We'll take another breath together here,
So inhaling gently through your nose and exhaling out through your mouth like a soft sigh.
Just feeling yourself soften with each exhale,
Letting the morning go,
Letting your to-do list go and just letting this moment be for you.
Now bringing your awareness back to your breath,
Back to its natural rhythm and how it naturally flows,
Noticing your inhales and your exhales and let your breath anchor you like a quiet thread pulling you back into the here and now.
There's no rush,
No urgency here,
No meetings or appointments to rush to,
Just a kind moment to reset.
And if your mind wanders,
That's completely okay.
Each time you notice this happening,
Gently return to your breath.
Each breath is a fresh beginning.
Let's bring our meditation to a close with a few quiet affirmations.
You can say them gently in your mind or maybe you just let the words land softly.
I am allowed to pause.
I return to myself with each breath.
I begin again with calm and clarity.
And when you feel ready,
Slowly start to wiggle your fingers or toes,
Bringing some gentle movement back to your body.
When it feels comfortable,
If you've had your eyes closed,
Just gently opening your eyes or returning your gaze to the attention and awareness of the room that you're in.
And take a moment to thank yourself for showing up,
For taking this time to pause,
For choosing care for yourself.
You can return here and to this feeling whenever you need.
I'm wishing you a peaceful rest of your day.
