A guided grounding practice to begin the week. Using breath and a body scan to connect with yourself and help bring your body, mind, and spirit together to set up a solid foundation for your week. It's my pleasure to practice with you. I hope this supports your journey. Recorded live on January 18, 2021.

Hello friends,

Welcome.

I am honored to be spending this time with you.

Thank you for gifting yourself this time.

I wanted to offer a grounding practice to begin the week.

To give us a solid space to navigate today and the rest of the week from.

So I invite you to find a comfortable position for you.

Ideally for this practice to be seated,

Connected with the earth in a position that allows your body to be supported and relaxed and allows you to extend through the spine.

I'll give you a moment to settle in.

Find your meditation posture for today.

Tuning into the needs of your body in this moment.

Beginning to relax the body,

Settling in.

Allowing your breath to slow a little.

Inviting it to come a little deeper into your belly.

Softening your gaze or closing your eyes.

Invite you to place your hands,

Palms facing down.

Begin a gentle scan of the body beginning with the top of your head.

Can you soften your forehead?

Relax your face around your eyes.

Soften your cheeks and relax your jaw.

Releasing tension through your neck and shoulders.

Continuing down the arms,

Across your chest,

Down your back.

Just relaxing a little deeper with each breath.

Soft in the belly.

Relaxing through the hips,

Through the pelvis,

Down into your thighs.

Softness through the knees.

Down through the shins and the calves.

Continuing all the way through to your toes.

Taking a moment to return to any places that you noticed a higher level of tension directing your breath there for a moment to help it release a little bit more.

Allowing anything that is not currently serving you to flow down towards the earth.

The earth can take this energy and transform it into something else.

Continuing with this relaxation process.

Allowing your body just to fully settle into here and now.

Bring your awareness to the parts of your body in contact with the earth.

Maybe your feet,

Maybe where you are seated.

Tune into this connection with the earth.

You may also feel this through your own body with your hands palms down.

That solid support of energy is always available to you.

Knowing that we are always connected with the earth as we come from the earth.

This is a support we can always tap into.

This is a deeper source of energy that we can draw from.

Feel the support of solid energy coming into your body with a loving gentleness.

And here saying I see you,

I support you,

I got you.

Allowing that energy to flow and move throughout your entire being into every cell of your body.

Providing a deeper level of support,

A source of energy that you can tap into.

A solid grounding for your entire being.

Bringing a calmness to the mind,

The spirit.

Knowing that we are all connected,

All living things are connected through the earth.

Take a few moments here just to bathe in this energy.

Continuing with a gentle inhale,

Gentle exhale.

Bringing the support and strength within.

Allowing anything that no longer serves you to return to the earth.

A cyclical give and take relationship,

This balance and opportunity to just be.

Allowing the energy to flow and move throughout your body.

Allowing the spirit to flow and move throughout your body.

Allowing the spirit to flow and move throughout your body.

Allowing the spirit to flow and move throughout your body.

Allowing the spirit to flow and move throughout your body.

Allowing the spirit to flow and move throughout your body.

Allowing the spirit to flow and move throughout your body.

Allowing the spirit to flow and move throughout your body.

Now we invite you to move your attention to your heart center,

The middle of your chest.

Feel the space with gratitude and loving kindness,

Bringing that feeling in with each inhale and expanding it throughout your being with each exhale.

Gratitude,

Compassion,

Love,

Kindness.

How does this feel in your body?

Can you expand these feelings and sensations to every cell of your being?

Gratitude for the earth,

The connection with all living things.

Expanding this love through yourself,

The earth,

The living beings you are connected with.

Allowing the sense to expand within you and through you.

Expands beyond you to those around you,

Those you will come in contact with throughout the day,

Throughout the week.

Giving yourself the gift of carrying this love and compassion and being this conduit for which it flows through to extend to others,

To extend to all living beings as we are all connected.

Knowing this is always available for us to tap into,

Power of our breath to reinforce and expand it so that we can carry and share the strength of love and compassion.

Basking in the sensations of this feeling,

The pleasure that the sense of love and compassion can extend throughout your body,

Through your mind,

Through your spirit.

Let go of any doing and just be here in this.

I invite you to stay here as long as you like.

When you are ready to bring the practice to a close,

One hand to your heart,

Fully connecting with yourself,

Offering the love,

Compassion,

Kindness,

Gratitude and grounded strength.

You've cultivated yourself first and then on to others.

Taking a deep inhale,

Exhale with a sigh.

Coming back fully present in your body in this space,

Feeling your fingers and toes a little.

Gently blinking your eyes open if they were closed,

Beginning to focus your gaze again,

Taking a look around the space you're in.

Coming back fully,

Be gentle with yourself in this process.

The highest in me sees the highest in you.
