Start your morning with this 7 minute meditation and bring an intention into your day. Starting your morning with a short meditation can be the best way to bring awareness into your body as well as bringing your attention to a new beginning.

Welcome to our guided morning meditation.

You can sit at your favorite meditation spot or any other place where you will not be disturbed for a couple of minutes.

Now that you have found that spot,

You can sit on a chair with your back leaning against the chair,

Or you can sit on the floor with your back straight.

What is important is that you feel comfortable.

Place your hands on top of your thighs and close your eyes.

If you don't feel comfortable closing your eyes,

You can leave them open.

Let's begin by breathing in slowly and feeling those first breaths of awareness that come into your body.

We'll start our meditation by being grateful about everything that happened yesterday,

Regardless of its outcome.

Now imagine the opportunities that a brand new day will bring for you today.

As you imagine these opportunities,

Formulate an intention for this morning.

It can be a small task that you would like to accomplish and that will bring you joy today.

It could be something such as,

I will go for a walk today,

Or I will take a break after lunch.

I will give you a few moments for you to formulate.

Now repeat it to yourself mentally three times.

Now I want you to inhale and become aware of the air coming into your nostrils.

This might be cool air.

You can feel it coming in.

As you exhale,

Pay attention to the air coming out of your nostrils.

It might be warmer air.

Just observe as you continue breathing.

Now let's inhale to the count of three and exhale to the count of three.

You can either follow me or you can go at your own pace.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale,

One,

Two,

Three.

Exhale,

One,

Two,

Three.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale,

One,

Two,

Three.

Exhale,

One,

Two,

Three.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Now come back to your natural breathing.

If things get hectic during your day,

Just remember your intention.

Just bring it throughout your day.

And,

Of course,

Make sure that you make some time to be able to get that intention as a fruitful action for your day.
