Welcome to today's meditation.
We'll start by inhaling and exhaling.
Inhale and exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
Relax your shoulders as you keep inhaling and exhaling.
Relax your torso.
Relax your arms.
Let the chair hold you.
Let the chair hold your weight.
You can feel safe in this space.
As you keep on inhaling and exhaling,
Imagine a balloon becoming bigger on your inhales and the balloon deflating as you exhale.
You can choose the color of your balloon.
It could be a red balloon,
A yellow balloon,
A green balloon,
An orange balloon.
Whichever color you choose,
See how it inflates as you inhale and deflates as you exhale.
Picture that balloon inside of your mind,
Inflating and deflating.
Think of the elasticity of the balloon,
The texture the balloon has.
Is it soft?
Is it a tighter type of rubber?
Picture the balloon inflating and deflating.
Does the balloon feel light to the touch?
If you were to touch it,
Does it inflate?
Is it cold to the touch?
Or is it warm to the touch?
Inhale and exhale.
How big is the balloon?
Would you be able to hold the balloon in your hands?
Or would you have to hug the balloon?
Is the balloon bigger than you?
Or you would have to use your whole body to feel it completely?
Picture the balloon as it inflates and deflates.
If your balloon is a big balloon,
Picture the balloon becoming smaller,
Just smaller in size as it still inflates and deflates.
If you started with a smaller balloon,
Then picture it growing,
Growing really big.
Now think of yourself as that balloon.
You can be a big balloon or you can be a small balloon.
Feel how all the oxygen travels throughout your body as you inhale,
And how it leaves your body as you exhale.
With every inhalation,
You're bringing energy to your body.
And with every exhalation,
You're letting a signal to your body that it needs to rest.
Now let go of the image of the balloon and just picture yourself sitting where we started.
And we're going to spend with our eyes closed,
Not counting,
Just noticing how the breath comes in and out of our nose.
Just notice when it comes in through your nostrils and even goes out.
Very small breaths.
We're just noticing.
There's no need to control.
We're letting go,
Coming back to our center.
Now slowly bring your hands together to heart center.
And bowing.
Namaste.
You can slowly open your eyes.
Much love,
Fernanda.
