Welcome to the meditation for where you are as a writer.

Take this moment to prepare yourself.

You can lay yourself down upon your back,

Lengthening your body,

Or have yourself seated onto your sit bones,

Your spine reaching out to the sky,

Shoulders falling behind you.

Just choose your position in this moment and get yourself comfortable as you arrange yourself.

Allow your eyes to gently shut.

Notice the breath,

Allowing it to gently move into the body and gently move out,

Noticing the body swelling up as you inhale and deflating as you exhale.

Just recognize that sensation.

Every time you let go of your breath,

Feel part of your body melt away,

Relaxing every muscle one at a time.

Inhale,

Gently expanding the body,

Exhale,

Melting everything away.

Notice that feeling.

I want you to find yourself in a room.

Notice if the room is dark or bright.

Notice the features of the walls.

Just notice what you see,

Breathing here.

Notice how you feel,

Emotionally,

Being in this room.

What is the emotion that you're feeling?

Allow yourself to breathe into the emotion.

Breathing deeper into the body as you inhale.

Allowing yourself to soften as you exhale.

Standing in front of you is a window.

Notice how big or small the window is,

The shape it's in.

Just take a moment to notice and breathe through that awareness.

Through this window,

Notice what you see beyond the window.

Is it another room?

Is it a landscape?

Just become aware of what you see and take this moment to breathe in that awareness.

In this place beyond the window,

Notice a figure.

Notice what that person is doing,

What they're wearing.

Just take time to breathe that in,

Every little detail.

As you continue to look at this figure,

Notice what mood they're in.

What is their behavior like?

Become aware as you breathe.

How do you feel,

Emotionally,

As you look to this individual?

Notice that sensation.

Breathing in slowly and deeply.

Then you start to notice this person writing.

Notice what they're writing on,

How they look as they write.

Just take that,

Take it all in as you breathe.

Allowing the breath to move slowly and deeply.

How do you see this writer?

What do you notice?

Taking all the details and sensations,

Allow yourself to embrace them as you breathe.

And find yourself holding a marker in your hand.

Notice if it's the left hand or the right hand.

Notice the color of the marker.

And on the window,

Begin to write a message.

And just take this time to write letter by letter,

As you breathe in and out.

And suddenly,

In the midst of your writing,

The glass of the window shatters.

Notice how you feel,

Emotionally,

As it shatters.

Breathe in deeply and slowly.

Acknowledging the message that you want to write.

And through the window,

Notice that figure acknowledging you.

Taking its time to walk towards you.

Notice how you feel here as you breathe.

And as the person walks closer and closer,

Notice the face of this figure being yours.

Acknowledge that feeling as you look towards you as a writer.

Breathing in and out,

Facing yourself as a writer.

Allow heaviness through the breath.

Heavy in the body and heavy in your surroundings.

Become aware of sounds surrounding you.

The sound of cars going by,

Chatters in the distance.

Whatever it is that you hear,

Listen.

And start to bring awareness into the body.

Wiggling through the toes and fingers.

Rolling through the wrists and ankles,

Acknowledging that motion.

And when you feel ready,

Gently awaken yourself.

Back here in this moment.
