Hey there beautiful one.
My name is Faith Hunter and I am bringing you this somatic shaking practice.
Now shaking is a beautiful,
Powerful and healing way to not only release tension and stress but if you're holding on to any anger,
Frustration or even just feeling that need to reset,
Shaking is perfect.
Now if you notice in our animal kingdom,
Animals are always shaking of their body.
So why shouldn't we?
The other thing I want to share is that you can do this practice first thing in the morning when you wake up to actually find a little more energy,
Feel a little bit more invigorated and vibrating to help you start your day.
And then the other way that you can use it is really anytime.
Anytime you need to release any stress,
Any tension.
If you just need to clear out the mental as well as physical cobwebs in your body.
Let's get started.
So we're going to begin standing and I want you to bring your feet about hip bone distance apart.
Relax the arms alongside your body and just kind of arrive first in this moment.
And as you arrive,
I want you to just observe and notice any sensations that you may be feeling in the physical body but also in your mind and your heart.
Just check in with yourself and maybe even set a personal intention for this quick little shaking practice.
What do you want to release?
What do you want to let go?
But also what do you want to feel like in the end?
Now take a deep breath in,
Exhale empty out.
We're going to start just shifting the weight from right to left.
So just shift your weight from your right foot to the left foot.
Nice and easy.
Maybe the hips are swinging,
You feel a little swing in the upper body.
And then when you're ready,
Shift your weight all the way over to one foot.
Doesn't matter right or left.
And just start to maybe tap the opposite foot on the floor and then start to shake that foot.
And notice as you're shaking that foot you're starting to allow the shake to move up into the leg.
Just let that leg move around.
Let it go.
Don't hold on,
Just really release.
And then when you're ready,
Shift over to the other foot again.
Just kind of tap that foot on the floor and then give it a little shake.
Add it in the leg.
And then now I just want you to shift back and forth from right leg to left leg.
Just shaking,
Letting it all go.
Do any kicks if you want.
Swing it to the side.
And then just let those hips start to move a little bit.
And then while the hips are moving,
I want you to start to shake your hands.
So hips and hands are just moving and shaking.
And then at some point,
Feel it in your arms.
And now all your limbs are going to start shaking.
So always like to shift from right to left.
And even if you want to do a little bend and dip,
Let those shoulders shake.
Really get into it.
Don't hold back.
See where you need it.
I'm feeling it a little bit more,
Desiring it a little bit more on my shoulders.
So if you want to shake those shoulders a little bit more,
Open the arms out wide.
Feeling any tension in those legs.
A few more little shakes and then add some bounces.
Bounce and shake at the same time.
Just let it all go.
And then if you want to start to swing a little bit,
Just let the upper body swing.
Maybe you hear from some pops,
Right?
Feel a few pops.
That's all good.
And then what will happen kind of naturally,
Right?
You may even want to bounce,
Right?
So I really don't,
I don't want you to feel like you have to have any special movements or it has to look a certain way.
It's really all about what's feeling good in your body.
I'm feeling the need to move my hips.
So let that butt jiggle.
Just want you to let it out and go for a few more seconds.
And as you do this,
Know that you can even make some audible sounds.
So,
Oh,
Nice size.
Let it all go.
Maybe even say to yourself,
Just letting it release.
I'm letting it go.
Or maybe you're doing this in the morning.
I am going to start my day.
Great.
I'm feeling good.
I'm vibrating.
I'm letting the energy flow.
I'm awakening to an amazing day.
My day will be filled with intention and purpose.
My life is all that I desire.
Creativity flows within me and I show up as my most amazing.
All right.
And then when you're all done,
Find your way back into stillness.
Let the arms release alongside your body.
Close your eyes,
Or maybe just cast them down.
And I just want you to observe,
Notice,
And feel.
And then I invite you to place your left hand over the center of your chest,
Your right palm around your belly.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Hold and retain the breath.
Exhale out of the mouth.
And then thank yourself for showing up.
Fully and completely as you are.
Begin to blink the eyes open.
And then move into your rest of your day.
Feeling full,
Complete,
And whole.
But mostly importantly,
Authentically you.
Stay spiritually fly.
