Hey there,
Beautiful one.
This is Faith Hunter and welcome to the guided meditation for embracing your inner child.
Take a moment to find a comfortable seated position.
Make sure you're in a quiet and safe space.
Also know that if it's more comfortable for you,
Feel free to rest on your back.
I want you to feel relaxed and at ease.
So begin to close your eyes or soften your gaze and allow the breath to flow naturally in and out of your nose.
Feel how the inhale slowly moves in,
Filling up your lungs with air and as you gently exhale,
You're releasing a little tension in your physical body and you're using your breath,
The ease of your breath,
The calmness of your breath to support you and aiding you in relaxing.
Continue breathing with ease and I want you to start to focus on your body.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort.
As you continue to inhale,
I want you to imagine a warm light spreading from the top of your head,
The crown of your head,
And flowing down to your toes as you exhale,
Relaxing all of the muscles in your body.
As you breathe in,
Exhale,
Letting go of tightness.
Allow the body to feel supported,
Cradled,
And held by the earth.
Now let's begin to journey into the mind's eye.
Bring your focus right between your brow.
Imagine a gentle,
Radiant light shining from the center and that light starts to guide you,
Leading you to a safe and serene place.
Now this safe,
Serene place might be a room filled with soft light,
A peaceful garden,
A cozy nook,
Or maybe one of your favorite places in the world.
In this space,
You see a younger version of yourself.
Observe your inner child.
What are they doing?
How do they feel?
Now I want you to approach your inner child,
Slowly,
And do it with open arms.
Notice if they feel shy or eager.
Sit with them and offer a comforting smile.
Let them know that they are safe with you and that you are here to listen and protect them.
Ask your inner child if there's anything they need to tell you,
Any comfort they seek,
Any discomfort or pain they wish to share.
I want you to listen attentively,
Allowing your inner child to express their feelings without judgment.
Validate their emotions,
Telling them it's okay to feel this way.
I am here for you.
If your inner child reveals a specific wound,
I want you to acknowledge the hurt.
Offer them love and support that they need in this moment,
In the past.
You might even say,
I understand you were hurt.
I know your pain.
I feel your pain.
Now let's heal this wound together.
Imagine your adult self applying a soothing balm over this emotional or physical wound,
Healing both their past and your present.
As you apply this healing balm,
Promise your inner child that you will protect them.
Take the next few moments to cradle support and connect with them and know that this is a safe space for them.
So encourage them to share any other moments in time,
Any emotions,
And reassure them that together you can face anything.
Now spend a few more minutes enjoying the presence of your inner child,
Perhaps playing a game,
Laughing,
Or just holding them.
And whenever it's right,
Gently inform them that it's time to go,
But you will return soon.
Use this remaining time to seal in your connection to your inner child.
There's no rush to depart from this safe space.
Allow yourself to remain in stillness and come out whenever you are ready.
