I'm Larissa,
And I want to thank you for joining me today.
Today's meditation will focus on self-love.
In a time of world stress,
Uneasiness,
Exhaustion,
Discrimination,
I've found that repeating a few phrases to myself in stillness brings me back home to myself.
So I invite you to join me today in doing that.
Start by just grounding and connecting wherever you're sitting or lying down.
Just starting to notice your breath.
Maybe you notice your chest as it rises and falls.
Maybe you notice your belly or just the air flowing through the nose and out the mouth.
Deepening your breath,
Inhale and exhale twice more.
Breathing and exhaling.
Inhale through the nose and exhale with the sigh.
To continue to just notice your breath,
Maybe your eyes are closed or you have a soft gaze.
I invite you to join me in repeating a few words to yourself,
Starting with,
I love you and I matter.
Starting to breathe and repeating these words to ourselves,
Maybe out loud or just in your head.
I love you.
I matter.
I love me.
I matter.
Continuing to come back to that breath and a sense of self-love.
And just noticing how that feels in this moment.
Starting with your breath,
Let's take two deep breaths together.
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhaling out the mouth.
Once more,
Maybe you add some sound to it.
Inhaling through the nose,
Sighing out.
You gently and slowly open your eyes if they were closed.
Maybe you bring some gentle and soft movements anywhere in the body.
I invite you to come back to these phrases whenever you need them.
I love me and I matter.
