This Crown Chakra completes my series visiting all seven main chakras. You can do this meditation to complete your series, but it can also be done on its own. A simple meditation all about connecting and listening. We start with a gentle Aum, then briefly visit all underlying chakras to see where we are at. We spend significant time resting our attention at the crown of the head, doing some visualization and affirmation.

Crown chakra meditation and find a comfortable seated position.

If you like,

You may sit cross-legged or in half or full lotus,

If you know how to do this.

As the lotus is the symbol of the crown chakra meditation.

Alternatively,

You can also put your feet firmly on the ground,

If this feels best to you.

Sit with a straight back,

In tucked in slightly,

So the crown of your head points upwards towards the ceiling.

And then gently rest your palms,

Your hands,

The back of your hands on your legs,

Opening the hands with your palms facing upwards.

And when you're ready,

Gently close your eyes.

And start breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

So gently part the lips,

Easy for you to breathe out through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose.

Inhale through the mouth.

And to open this practice,

We start with one gentle om.

Let me demonstrate first.

You will breathe in normally through the nose.

And on the exhale.

Om.

After your om,

Continue breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

The crown chakra is the seventh chakra.

Spirituality and light in men.

Your connection to the universe.

It is all about silence and listening.

Not to the chatter in your brain.

More to your intuition and things beyond your intuition.

A blocked crown chakra may result in poor physical coordination,

Chronic tension headaches,

And general feelings of exhaustion.

Or mentally you may notice a desire to oversleep.

Being confused about what you want to do.

Or lack of inspiration.

This being our seventh chakra means it's the last of the seventh most famous chakras.

And it builds on to those first six chakras.

And when one of the lower chakras is blocked,

It also stops the energy from flowing to the chakras above it.

Let's check in on the other six chakras first.

Before we spend some time with our crown chakra.

And listen to both your mind and body when we check the chakra.

Bring your attention to the base of the spine.

The first chakra.

Your root chakra.

Notice how this area in your body feels.

And notice what comes to mind when I ask you how grounded do you feel in this moment.

Notice your point of attention in either the physical space in your body.

Expanding on the inhale.

Opening on the exhale.

Or spend some time with that question.

How grounded do you feel?

Sweeping your attention to the front of the body.

Just under the navel.

The second chakra.

The sacral chakra.

Again,

Feel any physical sensations in your lower belly.

Notice any warmth.

Notice a lack of sensation.

Notice what's happening for you.

And spend just a moment.

Think about how creative you have felt in recent days.

And how connected to others.

Intimacy and intimacy.

If you are distracted by sounds or mind chatter,

Don't judge yourself.

Gently bring yourself back.

Focus on the questions.

What a physical body.

Moving upwards.

Just above the navel.

Resting our attention at the solar plexus.

Third chakra.

The sacral chakra.

You can choose to expand this area on the inhale.

Soften it on the exhale.

Or if you like,

You can linger over the question of how confident you have been feeling.

Remember to breathe in through the nose.

Now through the mouth.

Moving upwards again to the heart center.

Our heart chakra.

The middle of the seven chakras.

Connect with your heart beat.

Feel the rise and fall of the chest with your breath.

Notice any sensations.

And ask yourself.

Have you been able to grow and develop?

Are you growing and developing?

And if for any of the questions you realize you are not affirmative.

You realize that this is a chakra that has been blocked.

Please don't judge yourself.

Be thankful to find out that this would be an area to work on.

At your own pace.

In your own time.

In your own tempo.

Moving upwards to the throat.

The throat chakra.

Notice if it's feel free.

Or someone tight.

And ask yourself honestly.

Have you been speaking your truth?

Up even more to the third eye.

Third point between our eyebrows.

Third eye chakra.

You may gently turn up your eyeballs to look at this point.

On the inside of the eyes.

Or a brief connection.

As I ask you.

Does your intuition guide you?

Do you let your intuition guide you?

Moving in through the nose.

Out through the mouth.

As we finally bring our attention to the crown of our head.

Check in if it's still pointing upwards.

You may want to chuck in your chin just a little bit.

See if you can direct your breath.

To the crown of your head.

Imagining an expanse on the inhale.

A softening on the exhale.

And then start imagining a beautiful lotus on top of the crown of your head.

Almost as if it's growing from your head.

It may be white or violet.

It may have multi-colored petals.

Or maybe your lotus looks different yet again.

Simply let your lotus evolve in your mind's eye.

Let it grow.

Lossome.

If your attention drifts.

Bring it back to the crown of your head.

Start again.

Imagining the lotus flower.

Blossoming into the universe.

On the crown of your head.

We complete this meditation with an affirmation.

You can just listen to me.

Or you may repeat the words.

Either in your mind or out loud.

Whatever feels best.

I can achieve anything.

I discard all my limiting beliefs.

I honor the divine within me.

I understand.

Gently release the breathing in through nose and out through mouth.

So start breathing as you normally would.

Linger here just a little while longer.

In silence.

Or listening.

And see if you can listen.

Your intuition.

Please remain seated for a little while longer.

Until you are ready to open your eyes.

And continue your day.

As I say goodbye.

Namaste.

Incredible session. The meditation was soothing, and each chakra was given its own engaging question to ponder. Easy to follow, to the point, but dynamic just the same. Beautiful. Thank you!
