Give yourself this gift of rest,
Resilience,
Renewal,
And presence whenever you need it most.
Allow your awareness to soften into stillness,
Bringing your attention back to your breath,
Slow natural breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
Gently shift your awareness to the center of your chest,
The heart space.
Imagine for a moment that you are breathing in and out through the heart.
As you inhale,
Feel the breath arriving into the heart.
And as you exhale,
Feel it leaving from the heart.
If it feels supportive,
Place one or both hands over your heart now.
And with each breath,
Feel yourself dropping out of the thinking mind and into the felt experience of the body.
Imagine a soft,
Radiant,
Emerald green light glowing from within your heart.
With each inhale,
This light expands,
And with each exhale,
It softens and spreads,
Inviting a small smile,
Just a gentle smirk at the corners of your mouth.
Let the body know it is safe to soften,
Bringing to mind a memory,
A place,
Or presence that naturally evokes love,
Joy,
Peace,
Or gratitude.
Allow the feeling of that experience to arise without force.
Feel it in the chest,
The shoulders,
The belly,
Letting this feeling wash through the entire body,
Every cell bathed in gratitude,
Love,
And ease.
Continue breathing gently through the heart,
Silently offering thanks to yourself,
To your body,
And to life.
Resting here for a few more breaths.
When you're ready,
Take one final slow inhale with me,
And a soft,
Steady exhale out.
