Many times, we avoid or suppress our anger, but what if we embrace it instead? Anger can serve as our protector and a wise guide to noticing our boundaries and needs. This daily affirmation is designed to support you in your journey to a new relationship with your anger.

Anger.

I honor my anger in all of its forms as the powerful protector that it is.

My rage is sacred and my frustrations are wise,

Alerting me to the places where I need more care,

More protection,

Or more community.

It is my anger that stokes the fires of optimism and courage,

Igniting fervent belief in my ability to create change,

Fight injustice,

Advocate for myself and others,

And set boundaries that tend to my heart with gentle ferocity.

When the world attempts to shame my expressions of anger and I feel tempted to hide it away,

I remind myself that all of my humanity deserves to be acknowledged and seen.

I claim the power and passion that are at the core of anger,

And trust that by embracing it with love,

I am able to channel this energy into the transformation needed for this moment.

I seek to understand the more tender feelings that lie beneath my anger,

And offer all of myself compassion and curiosity.

Anger is a powerful force that I know I have all I need to wield it with wisdom and love.
