Welcome back.

Good morning,

Good afternoon,

Good evening,

Good night.

Welcome back to time out.

That special time that we take for ourselves,

For our bodies to recover emotionally,

Physically and mentally from the stresses of our day or night.

So,

Ready for journey three.

So,

Let's practice taking that deep breath in and a long slow breath out.

Once again,

A deep breath in and a long slow breath out.

This time to add to our focus and concentration.

See the number four as you take a deep breath in,

Perhaps in colours,

Perhaps in words and see the number seven in your mind as you breathe out.

So,

Let's try that.

A deep breath in and a long slow breath out.

Once more and this time perhaps you might like to count to four and seven as you see the numbers and the colours.

A deep breath in and a long slow breath out.

Let your eyes just gently close now and take yourself to that space behind your eyes,

Keeping your eyes in there closed and listen.

See if you can hear or get the sense of the soft sound of trickling water.

That beautiful sound that water trickling over rocks makes.

A gentle stream flowing.

Get a sense of it flowing through your body.

Clearing,

Flowing,

Trickling.

Get a sense of birds,

The sound and feel of breeze.

Perhaps the sound of leaves rustling in the breeze and the smell,

The smell of a stream trickling over rocks through gentle landscape of bush.

Now within your mind's eye,

Open your eyes to the screen of your mind and see the stream.

Clear,

The rocks,

The sunlight catching the water,

The reflections,

The water flowing over and around the rocks,

Touching the banks,

The plants and a path,

A path that follows the stream downstream.

And we can follow that path now,

Following it alongside the water,

Listening to the sounds of the bush,

The birds,

The breeze,

The trickling.

Following the stream down,

Down where the stream opens out into a beautiful wide pool of water that stretches out and calms and becomes almost still.

And alongside this pool is a large flat rock where we can sit.

And sit there now.

Perhaps dip your finger in the water and your feet.

Feel the stillness and notice as the water settles,

The reflections of the land and the shrubs and the plants and even the sky are clear and sharp.

Notice the peace,

The softness about the place,

That gentle light as the sun is filtered through the overhead leaves.

Calm,

Still,

Peaceful.

You may or you may not have noticed,

Just towards the edge of the pool,

Not far from you,

Bubbles are rising,

Small bubbles rising and drifting upstream.

And if you look carefully now,

You'll notice there is a toy-like small animal.

Soft silver beige fur,

Ears like a rabbit,

Soft and cuddly,

A coiled spring for a tail.

A bit similar to an Australian bilby,

But different,

Small,

With a hollow reed in his mouth.

And from the reed are rising the bubbles.

Up,

Up,

Upstream.

He turns and smiles at you.

And in your head,

You hear the words,

Letting go.

Letting go stress,

Letting go tension,

Anxiety,

Fear,

Concerns.

He passes you a reed and suggests you try it.

So you breathe up and gently blow,

Letting out bubbles of stress and tension and anxiety and fear.

Floating from you,

Out of you,

Making you feel lighter and lighter.

Letting them drift upstream,

Back to the time and place they came from.

Watch them,

Encapsulated within the bubbles,

Drifting.

How much lighter you feel,

How much more relaxed you feel.

And without even realizing it,

Smouse is in your lap.

Stroke his soft fur and feel a sense of peace flowing from him into you.

So relaxed,

An incredible sense of peace and release.

Stroking the soft fur,

Gentle.

And now let's blow a big bubble,

A big bubble for your future and allow to gather from within you,

Perhaps a dream or a wish or just a tiny idea of how you'd like the future to be.

Whether it's for yourself or your family or your community or the world,

Just blow into the reed all of your wishes and dreams and watch it form one large bubble.

The bubble growing as you breathe into it and then letting it go and let it drift downstream,

Down the stream of your future.

Light,

Full of hope,

Full of peace,

Drifting down,

Down,

Beyond the pool,

Down the stream.

Then you may or you may not be able to see it settle somewhere in the distance but it is there waiting for you,

Looking for you.

And as Smouse now disappears into your future,

It's time to walk into your future.

So just take a drink from the pool and feel it refresh you and flow through you and bring it with you that sense of peace as we leave that flat rock and step onto the path of our futures.

Stepping back,

Back into your day or your night to that space behind your eyes and then bringing yourself all the way back,

Back to your time and your place and your space,

Feeling your body wherever you are sitting or standing or lying and bringing back with you that sense of peace and calmness and hope and love,

Ready to continue the next part of your journey.

And I'll see you next time for Time Out and Journey For.

Until then,

Take care,

Stay safe.

This took me back to one of my favorite places growing up camping with my family. I would go down to the flowing river and fish, then follow it downstream where it ended in a beautiful, quiet pool to swim in. I love that Smouse was with me. Thank you, Estelle.
