This holiday we can’t exactly spend actual time in person with our family and friends so today we look to other, deeper options. This time of year we tend to get more reflective...especially this year! If you need ideas of things to do...go deep. Listen in!

Namaste everybody.

Welcome to In The Flow with Lurry Albert.

And so I got a credit card.

What am I talking about?

I got a Christmas card from my aunt who I love dearly.

And she has no idea that I'm going to be talking about this today.

I don't even know if she'll know.

I should probably tell her.

But she always sends,

She's one of those people,

Like she's the one that introduced me to,

And my mother actually,

To the Chicken Soup for the Soul Books all those years ago.

And so she was always really into that.

And you know,

It's just really,

She's really insightful,

Right?

So she sent this letter along with her Christmas card.

And all,

I mean,

Instantly the tears were flowing,

Right?

And so I wanted to share it with you guys because we can't really go anywhere.

We can't really see loved ones and friends too much this year.

So what do we do instead?

That's the question.

What do we do instead?

How do we make this a special holiday season?

So I thought that I would read this to you because it's incredible.

And I don't know if she wrote it.

I don't know where this came from,

But it's absolutely amazing.

So this is my aunt's,

I'm not going to say her name,

But this is my aunt's take on the holidays.

To our dear friends and family,

This Christmas mend a quarrel.

Seek out a forgotten friend.

Look,

I'm already tearing up.

Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust.

Write a love letter.

Share some treasure.

Give a soft answer.

Manifest your loyalty in word and deed.

Keep a promise.

Find the time.

Forgo a grudge.

Forgive an enemy.

Listen.

Apologize if you are wrong.

Try to understand.

Examine your demands on others.

Think first of someone else.

Appreciate.

Be kind.

Be gentle.

Laugh a little.

Laugh a little more.

Deserve confidence.

Take up arms against malice.

Decree complacency.

Express your gratitude.

Go to church.

Welcome a stranger.

Gladden the heart of a child.

Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth.

Speak your love.

Speak it again.

Speak it still once again.

I don't even know that I have to say anything else.

Wouldn't the world be just a little bit lighter if we could all pick one of those things?

Just one.

If we could just pick one of those things that I just read.

What an amazing life we have.

What an amazing life we have that we have the opportunity to do one of just one of those many,

Many things that are on that list.

Absolutely beautiful.

So today what we are going to do,

We are going to meditate on this.

Our mantra for the day is so beautiful.

So perfect.

And so I hope that it carries us through the next few weeks.

Let's get ourselves comfortable.

Oh yeah.

Let's take a nice deep breath in.

And release.

It's so calming,

Isn't it?

Just a simple deep breath can just change everything about your demeanor.

Let's do that again.

Take a nice deep breath in.

And release it.

So of all the lists that I just read,

Is there any one thing that stuck out to you?

If there is one thing that stuck out to you of what I just read,

Then that is the thing that you are supposed to do.

So let's just take a moment and consider the things that we are grateful for.

What is it?

Maybe three things.

Good,

Bad,

Something you learned from,

A lesson,

A nice message that you got from somebody.

What are three things that you are grateful for today?

Lots of lessons lately,

Isn't it true?

We have the ability to impact other people.

I am so grateful for that.

I am grateful for this letter that I received.

I am grateful that I have the ability to share it with you.

That ripple effect that goes into the entire rest of the world.

Because maybe,

Just maybe,

You will remember one thing that I read and share it with the world.

That's what I am grateful for.

Our mantra today is,

So Hum.

So Hum.

And what that actually means is I am that.

That's the actual literal translation.

But what we say,

What we mean when we say that is that I am all of creation.

I am that.

I am everything.

I am all of creation.

I am everything.

And this is our mantra for the day.

If you lose the mantra,

It's absolutely okay.

If you forget the mantra,

You can just concentrate on your breath.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

And let's begin.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

So Hum.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies,

The chair we're sitting in,

The room.

Let's take a nice deep breath in through our nose.

And when you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

Beautiful.

Wow.

That was really deep for me today.

I don't know about you guys,

But yeah,

I feel so peaceful.

So I really appreciate each and every one of you for being here with me on this journey.

Thanks so much.

I appreciate you all.

And until next time,

Everybody,

Namaste.
