Begin by gently closing your eyes or softening your gaze.
Relaxing your shoulders and planting your feet firmly on the ground.
Now begin to notice your breath.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose and a long slow exhale through the mouth.
Another nice big breath in and a long slow exhale out as you begin to feel your body ease with each breath.
One more deep long inhale and on the exhale allowing yourself to fully arrive into your body,
Into this moment and into your breath.
Letting go of any control of the breath,
Any discomfort in the body.
Letting go of all the effort it has taken to bring you here now.
Letting go of all the thoughts,
Pressures of what is yet to come and giving yourself the gift of this moment.
Once you're ready,
Take a moment to turn inward and notice asking yourself,
How am I now?
How am I holding my day so far in my body?
Acknowledging within yourself one or two words that resonate with you and how you are feeling.
Whether it be tension,
Excitement,
Anxiety,
Numbness,
Readiness,
Whatever it may be,
Simply notice it with curiosity and kindness.
Once you are ready,
Take one more full loving deep breath and gently return to where we began.
