Please allow yourself to feel relaxed in a comfortable position and just let your body settle into the mattress and allow your hands to just effortlessly rest beside you.
No need to clench your hands or have any excessive tension in your body.
This is your time to let go and be at peace.
All day long your energy has been moving outward into conversations,
Into tasks that needed to be completed and decisions that needed to be made.
Just going out and out and out but now we get the opportunity to reverse that direction.
So to begin with let your awareness just gently focus inward.
There isn't any need to rush and all you have to do is just ask yourself the question where did that energy go today?
Let your mind wander over the day without any judgment.
What part of the day made you feel more alive?
What part of the day made you feel more drained?
Just take some time to momentarily reflect on it.
And now I'd like to ask you what would it feel like for you to come back to your center?
And as I ask you that question I'd like to visualize your attention almost like a magnet slowly pulling the energy back in from all the places that it's been scattered throughout the day.
Imagine you're calling it home back to the body in this moment.
And as you call that energy back to yourself let's begin a visualization,
Help you feel grounded and at ease as that energy returns.
I'd like you to imagine yourself surrounded by a soft cocoon,
A protective sphere of white light that wraps around your entire body completely encapsulating you,
Not touching your skin,
Just maybe a few inches from your skin.
And inside it's so peaceful and calm and safe.
And I'd like you to think of this cocoon not just as a shelter but more like a charging chamber.
Here your energy isn't required and it's replenished and with each breath this cocoon is going to draw in the exact kind of energy that you'll be needing tonight to fall asleep into blissful rest.
Not the kind of daytime wired energy that you need but more like slow restorative energy,
The kind that renews you.
And every time you breathe in imagine that the energy that the cocoon is providing is entering into your lungs and slowly permeating into your entire being throughout every part of your body.
And the more and more time you spend in this chamber the more you begin to feel your muscles soften,
You begin to feel your jaw relaxing,
Your shoulders dropping more and more,
Your arms are becoming heavier and your mind is becoming quieter.
Sometimes we think of energy as something that requires intensity or some kind of movement but tonight we're exploring a different truth that the stillness is power too,
There's energy in that.
Letting go is powerful,
Trusting the process is power.
And as we honor the stillness we get an opportunity to look inward.
I'd like you to ask yourself a couple of questions.
Where am I still gripping something from the day and what would it feel like to fully release that?
And with that inner questioning you provide yourself the opportunity to fully release.
You can let each breath be an invitation to do so and each exhale you could imagine the little threads of tension that no longer serving you are releasing on the exhale.
And you can see them dissolving into the cocoon around you.
And the cocoon releases that into the night like mist.
You don't have to carry the day to bed with you,
You're allowed to rest.
Let's go even deeper now,
Imagine the cocoon around you growing more soothing and darker,
Almost like twilight settling in a quiet forest.
Your body is so still now but your awareness feels more vast,
Like the sky is opening above you and you're becoming a part of the night.
Everything inside you is beginning to slow.
And beneath it all,
One truth remains and that is that your energy is returning,
A restoration.
This isn't because you forced it,
It's because you stepped aside and let go.
And finally we'll finish with a few affirmations that we can say in our minds.
My body knows how to rest.
My energy is returning quietly.
I let go now and surrender to sleep.
You can let yourself drift now.
The energy is flowing and you're safe.
