Welcome to Enhancing Recovery Part 2.

I'm Dr.

Lynn Brown.

Today's topic is discovering your past and changing your future.

Your behavior at any given time is dependent upon the information you have about yourself and the type of situation you are in.

Whenever you have to make a choice,

You look to this knowledge stored in your brain in order to come to a decision.

Much of this information comes from your parents.

When you were young,

The only road map you had to help you define reality was that of your parents or whomever the adults were in your life during this time.

Because of this,

It is important to take the time to determine how your parents felt about alcohol and success.

Then determine how you feel about the same issues.

After this,

You will be prepared to determine what belief changes you would like to make.

This will help you change your future.

It will free you from old beliefs that have made it difficult to practice the new habits and attitudes you are striving for.

Here is the information you will need to discover your past and change your future.
