In a world that can make you feel like you're never enough,
Where there's constantly to-do lists,
Never-ending piles of achievements,
Of goals,
Of comparing yourself,
Of contradictory messaging,
Of who you should be,
What you should be,
Where you should be at in your life.
I invite you to just take a moment now to come and sit in a comfortable position or lie down if comfortable for you,
To softly lower your gaze or close your eyes and begin to become aware of your body in this space,
To feel if there's any tension anywhere in your body,
To just move through the shoulders,
Maybe open and close the mouth,
Turn the head from side to side,
Wriggle the fingers or the toes,
Whatever it might be that your body requires,
To feel connected,
To release that tension that's been held.
Begin to become present in this moment and as you do so,
Beginning to deepen your breath,
Feeling the cool air as you inhale through the nose,
Warm air as you exhale from the nostrils.
Slowly and gently begin to expand your breath.
Each inhalation and exhalation becoming just a little bit longer,
Without force,
Without judgment of where you're at,
Simply seeing where you can stretch your breath to,
Without causing discomfort or pain,
Allowing yourself a few moments to just reconnect into your body in this way with your breath and as you settle in to yourself here in this moment,
Invite you to be aware of,
To reflect,
To go inwards,
To acknowledge what is important to you.
What are your non-negotiables for your life?
What is required for you to live a life that feels expansive,
That feels,
That feels joyful,
That feels abundant,
Without judgment,
Simply feeling,
Bearing witness to what comes through for you right now.
Do you know what your values are?
What are those guiding principles,
Those guiding beliefs that support you in your life,
That make you feel alive when you're living within these values,
That make you feel connected,
Feel in flow,
Feel loved,
Feel purposeful,
And to breathe deeply into the body,
To listen to any words,
Sounds,
Feelings that might rise up in you,
Bringing your values to the surface.
What is important to you?
Now with each of these,
I'd like to say the word,
Notice where you feel it in your body,
To look in your life.
Are you already embodying this value in your life?
What ways could you invite more of it into your day-to-day?
Sitting here,
Taking a moment with each word,
Each feeling now,
Gently now,
Coming back to your body,
Back to this moment,
Giving thanks to your body,
To your spirit,
For sharing what's,
Giving thanks to yourself,
With love,
Compassion,
And an openness to hear what wisdom.
You may like to stay here a little longer with all of these feelings,
Just allowing it to settle into your body,
Into your heart space.
When you're ready,
Moving through the fingers and the toes,
Like to gently move through the body with your day.
