Hello and welcome to this guided mirror work meditation.
My name is Emily Huckstep of Ground and Grow and I'll be guiding you through your practice today.
So to start with you'll want to find yourself in front of a mirror and you're going to come to a cross-legged position.
You can take a pillow under your hips just to support the hips and the spine.
We don't want our knees curling up so whatever you need to do whatever you need to sit on to find length in the back so that you can open the chest and be nice and comfortable in this position.
Once you're comfy close your eyes and take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Two more just like that deep breath in and a deep breath out.
One more deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Keeping your eyes closed just roll your shoulders back and down a few times and start to bring some awareness into the body.
You can roll your neck from side to side just get nice and comfy noticing how you're feeling in your body noticing any thoughts that are coming up maybe some emotions are starting to bubble up.
Just bring awareness to them without judgment or trying to attach yourself to anything just becoming aware of your experience right now.
And then when you're ready gently blink open the eyes and just meet your eyes in the mirror so looking at your gaze and starting to notice anything that's coming through.
Then this might feel really easy this might feel quite uncomfortable and that's okay approach whatever you're feeling with kindness and understanding and then see if you can look a little bit closer really looking into your eyes noticing what color they are.
Just really taking in all of your face so looking around your face and then if you can see more of the body just looking around that too so taking yourself in what do you see and again just noticing any beliefs that might be coming up any thoughts any feelings and when you're ready take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Keeping your eyes fixed on your own gaze in the mirror I'm gonna be reading you a few affirmations you can either repeat them in your head you can say them out loud or you can simply let them sink into you.
I am enough.
I believe in myself.
I accept myself fully.
It is safe for me to believe in myself and accept myself completely.
It is safe for me to love myself.
I am worthy of love.
It is safe for me to be strong.
I choose to be myself.
I trust my intuition and I know that the universe is supporting me.
I am enough.
Start to let those words sink in to your subconscious and start to notice how you feel.
When you're ready take a deep breath in fill up the lungs and then exhale let it go.
Maybe find a slight smile across the face bringing your hands to your heart center just sealing the practice closing down the eyes.
Namaste.
