Hello,
My friend.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
And thank yourself for taking this important time for yourself.
This is Teresa Destrovec.
If you haven't already,
I invite you to find a comfortable seated position so that you can fully engage in this guided practice.
Ideally,
Your back should be supported and your head is free.
While your feet and your bum are rooted firmly and connected to the earth.
Once you've found this position,
I invite you to take a few slow,
Deep breaths,
Allowing your lungs and belly to fill up and then slowly exhaling for a little bit longer than comfortable.
Now that you've taken some nice,
Long,
Deep breaths,
I invite you to relax into the idea of the breath breathing itself.
There's nothing to control,
Nothing to focus on.
Just let the breath breathe itself.
Today's guided practice is based on the work of Brene Brown.
I invite you to focus on the thought,
I am enough.
Repeat it to yourself several times.
I am enough.
I am enough.
As you think that thought to yourself,
Locate that thought in your body.
Where is your belief that you are enough located?
I am enough.
Where is that enough?
Focus on that place in your body where that thought resides.
And if you can't locate a place,
If it's not immediately obvious to you,
Focus on where you would want that belief to be.
Does it have a texture?
Does it have a weight?
I am enough.
Now I'm going to expand on this basic belief of being enough,
And as I do so,
I invite you to picture the energy of enoughness expanding from its original space and place.
At first it will expand within your body,
And then it will expand beyond your body.
It will almost create a bubble of enoughness around you.
I am enough.
I am enough in my body.
I am enough naked with no clothes.
I am enough in the clothes that I do wear.
I'm enough in my appearance.
I'm enough without adornment.
I am enough without makeup.
I am enough in my health.
I am enough in my wellness.
I'm enough even when I'm ill.
I'm enough in my age.
I am enough.
I'm enough in my income.
I'm enough in my work.
I'm enough even in unemployment.
I'm enough in whatever career I choose.
I'm enough in the skills I have,
And even the skills I don't have.
I am enough in my education,
And I'm enough even if I want to learn more.
I'm enough in my friendships.
I'm enough in my family.
I'm enough in my parenting,
Or even if I'm not a parent.
I am enough in my religion.
I'm enough even without a religion.
I'm enough in my community.
I am enough in the labels people assign me.
I am enough in my past.
I am enough in my present.
I am enough in my future.
I am enough.
I have always been enough.
I will always be enough.
I am enough.
I invite you to feel the energy of enough coming from you,
Expanding out from you,
And surrounding you.
Ground yourself.
Believe in the energy of enoughness that's surrounding you.
And as you bask in this light and energy of enoughness,
I encourage you to invite people in your life to join you.
In your mind's eye,
Allow their image to join your energy.
Perhaps you'll see those who already believe they are enough.
Perhaps you'll invite those who don't yet believe.
Give them the gift of your energy.
Share with them the gift of your enoughness.
Let them bask in this belief that they too are enough.
See their faces.
Hear their words.
Feel their energy.
Allow your energy to expand into them.
Or allow your co-mingled energies of enoughness to expand even further and greater than both of you.
You are enough.
We all are enough.
I invite you to be with this image,
With this energy,
For as long as you like,
Even when my voice fades.
And when you are ready,
Return to the present moment and to your belief that you are enough.
