Darryl asks,
Is this particular form of meditation sitting more enlightening than walking or other sorts of meditation?
To say that you couldn't be more enlightened at any given point by doing a walking meditation or another form of meditation,
Right?
But that's exactly why various forms of meditation exist,
Because different forms of tapping into your intelligence and tapping into the meditative quality of life can be incredibly useful in exactly what's needed in that particular moment.
For instance,
You might be harboring some really deep-seated energies in your body,
And for you,
You really need to get the body moving,
You really need to get something activated inside of your body in order for something to take place,
In order for there to be a shift,
In order for there to be some healing involved.
And so you may need to go for a walk,
You may need to use the body in some way to activate that energy and to be able to bring that into your experience for the so-called enlightenment to happen.
But with that being said,
You know,
As much variety as you can garnish and use with meditation or anything really,
Variety is the natural important quality of life.
There's also certain shapes and forms and energies that are what you could say all-encompassing,
There's certain forms that don't just evoke peace or harmony,
They evoke the very essence of life within you.
There are certain images,
There are certain shapes that encompass all kinds of different things within us because they are in a sense more closer to the origin,
The source of what we are,
What life is.
And so different types of meditations can be very beneficial at different times for everyone,
But there are particular postures that you will naturally gravitate towards.
Like if you're meditating for years and years and years and you're really on the path of wanting to become enlightened,
You will naturally gravitate towards certain postures,
Certain positions,
Because not just you.
And specifically,
Personally,
You're gravitating towards a certain position because of your condition,
But there's also a part of you that's just human and that's just a bunch of stardust and guts all put together.
And because you're human,
There's a particular tendency or,
Yeah,
A tendency,
You know,
Really to move towards a certain position for a particular purpose,
And that's why we want to align our spine with the cosmos,
Especially the spine,
Because the spine is really the highway of your whole physiology.
And the way that energy rises,
Especially within the body,
Is upward.
Most of our energy that we create is moving upward.
So if our spine is going like this and we're kind of hunched over or something,
The energy is not going to be able to move up as efficiently and properly as we want it to.
So the more that we align ourselves in a certain way to come up and flower and blossom,
Literally,
We become more available to that,
We become more comfortable,
We become able to do some very fundamental things with ourselves in order for the right things to happen.
And that's part of getting into a certain meditative posture and doing certain things with our bodies so that our inner experience can reflect that outer reality.
I hope that makes sense.
