The mantra 'Aham Prema' translates to mean "I am divine love"... or that which lies within me is everything the word 'LOVE' represents - this practice calls you to enquire within as to what the word love really means to you and to rest in the knowledge that those qualities lie within you to access and live from in every moment.

Hello and welcome.

My name is Ellie and I'll be guiding you through this short practice today to cultivate embodying love.

And embodying what love means can also help to build self-love,

Self-compassion or compassion to the people around you.

I invite you to do this practice seated but if you'd rather practice laying down you're welcome to do that too.

From wherever you are just allow your spine to lengthen.

Consciously broaden the space across your chest so your shoulders are relaxed but the space across your collarbones is as open as it allows to be.

Can you align yourself so your head your heart and your hips align with each other?

And if you'd like to you're welcome to close your eyes drawing your attention within.

Feel into your body seeing if you can notice any spaces that you can consciously soften.

Invite space and invite a sense of ease.

Feel into the space of your ribcage and around your heart center.

And watch the breath from that space so watch your inhales and exhales expand and contract your ribcage.

Feel the inhale revitalizing the body and really invite that sense of revitalization into the body with each inhale.

And as you exhale invite release and relax.

Keep watching the breath from your ribcage.

And today we're going to be using a Sanskrit mantra for our meditation.

That mantra is aham prema.

Aham prema means I am divine love or that which lies within me is everything that the word love represents.

Share within you as to what the word love represents to you.

Passion connection safety expansion unconditional acceptance.

Warmth keep that learning a line of inquiry going on inside of you just seeing what to you the word love represents or embodying love represents.

And then when you're ready we'll start mentally chanting the mantra together.

So just in your head as you inhale say the word aham a-h-a-m aham as you exhale prema p-r-e-m-a aham prema aham prema aham prema.

If you don't connect with the Sanskrit so much say I am divine love I am divine love in English.

So focusing on the breathing each inhale aham each exhale prema.

Keep your mind focused on that mantra for the next couple of minutes.

As and when other thoughts come into your mind just greet that thought with compassion park it where it is and then arrive back to your mantra on the next inhale aham prema aham prema I am divine love I am divine love.

I'll come back to you in a couple of minutes when your meditation practice is over.

I'll come back to you in a couple of minutes when your meditation practice is over.

I'll come back to you in a couple of minutes when your meditation practice is over.

I'll come back to you in a couple of minutes when your meditation practice is over.

I'll come back to you in a couple of minutes when your meditation practice is over.

If your mind has started to wander use your next inhale to say the word aham exhale prema aham prema.

Now drop your mantra drop awareness of anything breath or otherwise and just feel into your body.

Feel the vibrations of that mantra radiate outwards and just set the intention to carry that with you for the rest of your day.

Whenever you're ready blink your eyes open.

Thank you so much for sitting with me today and take care I hope to sit together again very soon.

God bless.

You
