Go ahead now and get into your comfortable position in your cozy space.
When you get there,
Just take a deep breath in through the nose,
Imagining you're breathing into the top of the head.
And on your exhale,
Let that exhale breath cascade down through the body,
Through the whole body and into the earth.
Deep into the earth.
And when that exhale becomes an inhale,
Drawing from the earth all the support you need,
All the connection,
Allowing you to let go into a deep,
Nourishing night of rest.
Feel that nourishing energy bubble up through the bottoms of your feet and into your shins,
Your calves,
Your knees,
Your thighs.
That nourishing energy moving up into the hips,
The abdomen.
Just noticing what this feels like in the body.
On your next inhale,
That energy gently moves into the heart space,
Allowing all the muscles in this area to just relax.
Breathing in through the heart and out into this heart space.
Maybe noticing you're starting to feel more and more relaxed as your body receives the nourishment,
The safety,
The permission it needs to let go.
On your next inhale,
Breathing in that nourishing energy from the earth into your shoulders and all the way down to your fingertips.
Deeper and deeper into every cell of your body.
On your next inhale,
Inviting this nourishing energy to move up from the backside of the body,
From the base of your spine all the way to the top.
Moving up that nourishing energy into the throat and neck areas,
The back of the head,
The face where you get to let go of all the little muscles in the face,
Around the jaw,
Your cheeks,
Your eyes,
Your forehead.
Just start to relax.
Breathing this energy through the whole body now.
Can you feel it circulate?
Can you feel yourself softening?
Melting into this energy.
Transcending the shape and the boundaries of your own body now and remembering you are connected and supported.
Can you allow yourself to let go,
To release those thoughts,
Those feelings that stand in the way of your well deserved peaceful time of rest.
Can you feel your body just melting,
Melting,
Melting?
Melting into the deepest relaxation you have ever known.
Allowing your breath to be gentle and soft.
Really savoring this time of being instead of doing.
Soothing.
