Hello and welcome to your sleep meditation.
My name is Ellie and I'll be guiding your practice today.
Go ahead and make sure you're in a really comfortable position with everything you need to completely let go and ease into a time of deep rest and rejuvenation.
When you get there,
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose and release a sigh through the mouth.
With each inhale and exhale from here on,
Let your body just begin to relax deeper and deeper relaxed with every breath you take.
So relaxed that you find you don't need to move a muscle.
Just letting your body get heavier and heavier,
Feeling safe and secure.
And with every breath you take,
Feeling the calm as though it were a blanket being put around you,
Tucking you in.
Imagining that on your next exhale,
Your body will release everything it's holding onto.
Every unnecessary thought,
To-do list,
Worry just slips away for now.
Clearing space for you to rest.
For you to just be.
Deeper and deeper relaxed.
And as I count from five to one,
With each number I count,
You'll find yourself going twice as deep into a wonderfully safe feeling of calm,
Of security,
Of safety,
For sleep.
Five,
Four times as deeply relaxed.
Three,
Two,
And one.
Totally and completely at peace.
Feel how deeply and completely relaxed you are.
And now if you can,
Let yourself go deeper,
Slipping deeper,
Drifting deeper into a deep,
Relaxing and restorative sleep.
