Mental Exhaustion And Constant Mental Overload
by Ellen Mouton
Mental exhaustion is often misunderstood. Many people assume they simply need more sleep, more time off, or a better routine. Yet mental exhaustion can develop when the brain remains continuously engaged with information, responsibilities, decisions, stimulation, and unfinished mental loops. In this talk, we explore why the mind can remain active long after the day has ended, why rest sometimes stops feeling restorative, and how ongoing mental overload may contribute to deeper exhaustion over time. If you've been feeling mentally drained, unable to switch off, overwhelmed by constant thinking, or stuck between exhaustion and overstimulation, this talk offers a framework for understanding what may be happening beneath the surface.
