Hey,
My name is Alexandra and this is a meditation on grounding into breathing.
I hope this meditation will inspire you to relax your mind,
Focus a little bit on the sensation of the breath throughout the body.
So with that in mind,
Let's begin.
Take your time to settle into posture,
Into stillness,
And trusting what that looks and feels like for you today.
Just ensuring that the body invites the mind to relax.
So choosing a posture that feels conducive to that.
And if you haven't already,
Allow your gaze to soften,
The eyes to close.
That feels more supportive for you.
Notice how the body feels in relation to the ground,
To the room.
So as you settle into this feeling of stability,
In knowing that you're here and healthy,
Begin to turn the attention inward and start to become aware of where you notice your breath.
Our minds are so busy,
But we can take refuge from meandering thoughts,
From chattering minds by allowing our attention to stay with the breath and to relax into the flow of the in and out breath.
Or if that feels awkward,
You may start to observe the breath through the rise and fall of your belly or the contraction and expansion of the chest,
Perhaps noticing its sensation on the tips of nostrils.
And however and wherever the breath begins to manifest for you,
Continue to notice what it feels like as you breathe in and out.
You may start to observe the breath as it flows throughout the entire body and how it travels up the spine,
Settling onto the surface of the collarbone,
And how it makes you relax into the spaces between your fingers and toes.
So the next few moments continue to observe,
Allowing the breath to take its fullest expression.
And now,
The next few moments continue to observe,
Allowing the breath to take its fullest expression.
And as you maybe observe the bodily responses to your inhale right now,
As you surrender to the expression of the exhale,
Sense into the softness that you have created in your body.
Whenever you're ready,
Begin to lift the gaze and open up your eyes.
Thank you for listening.
I hope you have a wonderful day or a wonderful night.
