Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
This recording is without background music to allow you to attune your focus to the breath as we journey within.
During this experience we will take some time to connect with your inner self and to come back home to your center,
A place of balance,
Calm,
And clarity.
We will begin by finding a comfortable position.
You may choose to sit upright with a tall,
Long spine,
Remaining soft,
Not forceful,
Allowing for easy,
Fluid breathing,
Or if you prefer,
You can come into stillness lying on your back.
Whatever choice is best for you today,
Allow yourself to fully arrive in the position in this moment.
Gently close down your eyes,
Settle into the space,
Settle into your body,
And begin to focus your attention on the natural rhythm of the breath.
To start,
I will guide you through three deep cleansing breaths to prepare your body and mind for the practice.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Feeling your belly and chest expand as they fill with air.
Pause for a moment at the top and gently exhale out through your mouth.
Another deep inhale through your nose,
Filling your body with as much air as possible.
Hold at the top.
Now exhale out through your mouth.
Wow.
Last one.
Let's make it your deepest inhale yet.
Taking one more sip at the top.
Pause and now release the air out through the mouth with a big sigh,
Letting go of anything that came before this moment and anything that is to come after,
Grounding yourself fully in the present.
You may now return your breathing to its normal rhythm,
Inhaling and exhaling gently through your nose as we focus our attention and energy inward.
With soft focus,
Begin to bring your awareness towards the center of your body,
Finding the space that holds your heart.
From a scientific perspective,
The heart is responsible for pumping blood throughout our body,
Delivering fresh oxygen and nutrients to every cell in our being,
Circulating life force energy.
From a spiritual aspect,
Our heart chakra governs our relationships,
Our emotions,
How we give and receive love,
How we connect with others,
Our ability to practice compassion and empathy.
It is represented by the color green,
Which is associated with balance,
Renewal,
And connection between physical and spiritual realms.
As we channel the connection with our heart chakra,
Our center,
I invite you to imagine a glowing green light emanating from your heart.
With each inhale,
See this green light grow brighter and brighter.
With each exhale,
Feel it softening and slowly spreading throughout your body.
Imagine that wherever this glowing green light touches,
Each organ,
Each tissue,
Each bone,
The cells of your body are being activated with loving awareness.
As the light begins to fill your entire being,
Feel a sense of balance and connection wash over your body.
From the tips of your toes to the crown of your head,
Every cell is in complete harmony and every corner of your body is now fully connected in love and in light to your heart space.
Breathe into your heart space.
Breathe into love.
Breathe into connection.
It is no coincidence that green,
The color of the heart chakra,
Is also one of the most prominent colors found in nature.
The color associated with the earth beneath us,
The grass,
The trees,
The plants that provide the air that we breathe.
As you inhale,
Send the green light out from your feet,
Down into the ground,
Expanding the light like growing roots,
Connecting you ever deeper with the earth.
Feel and know that you are fully held and fully supported by the earth.
Know that you are safe here.
In this space of complete safety,
Acknowledge to yourself that you are safe to be whoever you are.
There is no need to pretend.
No need to mask your thoughts,
Your desires,
Your feelings,
And no need to try to walk the path of another.
You are a unique being that is filled entirely with love and with light.
You have an intrinsic value that no one else in this world can replicate or take away from you.
How will you honor the desires of your heart?
How will you keep this connection with your center?
Remember that whatever you truly desire is possible if you listen and connect to the whispers of your soul,
Honoring yourself and staying true to who you are.
Do not let yourself be distracted by what lies outside of you.
As you rest in this knowing,
Silently repeat the affirmation,
I am centered in my truth.
Feel these words resonate in your body and in your mind.
I am centered in my truth.
Notice the power that they hold.
I am centered in my truth.
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your body,
Back to the space that surrounds you,
Back into the room.
Gently begin to wiggle your toes,
Wiggle your fingers,
Waking up your body from this restorative stillness.
Feel the air that surrounds you as it softly touches your skin.
Slowly bring your hands into prayer at your heart center.
As a symbol of gratitude to yourself for taking the time from your day to honor your physical body and to honor your mental body with this centering practice.
When you feel ready,
You may gently open your eyes and proceed to have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
