In this gentle guided meditation, I invite you to move your focus inward and connect with your own power. I hope you can lean into the joy that moves within and around you. This meditation is designed to bring a sense of calm, clarity and joy.

Welcome,

I'm Liz and today's meditation is focused on connecting with joy.

This is an opportunity for you to pause and move your focus inward,

To connect with your power,

To connect with your beauty and lean into the joy that moves within and around you.

Find a comfortable space to sit or lie,

Making sure your back is supported and allow your body to soften and find ease in this space.

And when you're ready,

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Holding for 4 and releasing for 4.

Witness it slowly,

Creating a rhythm within you.

In for 4,

Out for 4.

And just repeat this a few times,

Going at your own pace,

Being conscious of the rhythm,

Allowing your breath to anchor you in this present moment.

Today I invite you to honour and cherish yourself,

To celebrate and love yourself ferociously,

Free of shame or guilt,

Without judgement,

Comparison or apology.

Grant yourself permission to be grateful for your physical body,

To see its unique strength,

Its ability to serve you,

To fuel you and to live within and be part of nature.

Be grateful for your mind,

With its ability to think freely,

Creatively,

To guard you intuitively,

For its ability to experience happiness and laughter.

Be grateful for the moments of joy in your life.

Think of something or someone,

Somewhere that brings you joy.

It may be a childhood memory,

It may be time with your children,

Time in nature and just imagine yourself in that moment.

How do you feel in that moment?

And just embrace all those emotions.

Notice where the joy sits in your body.

Does it dance around the boundaries or is it walked deeply under the skin connected to your heart centre?

Does it shine?

Does it breathe?

Allow those feelings to rise up within you and just connect that emotion of joy.

Allow yourself a soft smile and just with grace and ease let the emotion of joy wash over you.

Feelings of joy moving across your crown,

Over your shoulders as they soften towards your limbs and let it slowly melt outward over the surfaces,

Seamlessly protecting them,

Lighting over them.

Acknowledge the feelings of abundance and self-compassion in this moment.

Recognise that these feelings belong solely to you,

That have been created from within you.

These are feelings you can connect with at any time.

They are yours,

Ready for you to hold and hold.

Consciously breathing in again,

Imagine a new breath laced with self-love,

Generosity,

Joy and let it shift deep down within you.

Breathing in deeply,

Releasing slowly,

Again at your own pace,

Deeply in,

Connecting with your joy and gently out.

Allow yourself to be grounded in this present moment.

A moment where you are enough,

We are extraordinary.

A moment where you honour and cherish your own mind and your own body,

Valuing deeply in your whole being.

Celebrate your ability to laugh wildly and loudly.

Release the rains,

Give yourself permission to make things up as you go along.

Embrace the idea of creating a new story every day.

Love yourself fully,

My beautiful friend.

Honour your smile,

Your love,

Your wrinkles and your scars.

The ones you carry,

The ones you see,

Embrace them as now part of your spectacular being.

Remember you are magnificent,

Capable of joy,

Capable of love.

In this moment,

Celebrate your extraordinary being.

Hold your heart dear,

Listen to its whisper,

Its intuition that radiates deep within you.

Your birthright to enjoy joy,

Love and kindness.

And just enjoy a few moments of this washing over you.

Slow and steady slowly,

Whenever you are ready.

I wish to just wiggle your fingers and your toes and gently return to where you started but hopefully taking a greater lightness with you,

A greater sense of being and of knowing how to connect with the joy that sits deeply within you and defines you.

Go gently.
