Hello and welcome.
I'm Liz and this is an invitation for you now to stop and prepare yourself to shift from the busy day you've had into a beautiful rejuvenating,
Tranquil sleep.
A sleep where you'll feel safe,
Where you'll let go from all the thoughts and all the things you've had to do today.
I invite you as you settle in to a comfortable space with your feet uncrossed and your arms relaxed to just bring your attention to your breath.
To take a big breath in through the nose,
Expand in the belly,
The chest and letting go.
Again in through the nose,
Expand in the belly and the chest and letting go.
Again in through the nose,
Expand in the belly,
The chest and letting go.
And allow yourself to start to find a space that feels comfortable,
That feels safe,
With no distractions to move into a restful sleep.
Become aware of the surface supporting your body.
Be aware of how it is holding you and let it take your weight.
Let your body soften,
Let your eyes gently lower or close.
Let the lines on your forehead release,
Melt away all the thoughts that you've carried around all day and let your jaw loosen,
Letting go of all the conversations you may have had and let your shoulders melt away,
Releasing the worries and the stresses you may have carried.
And just let your body feel heavy.
And just as you take your next breath in,
Imagine it's like a gentle breeze coming in slowly and then shifting gently with a softness.
Allow your thoughts to settle.
Imagine they are clouds moving.
Let them move without you having to hold on,
Without you having to solve them or to figure out anything about them.
Just let these clouds drift slowly,
Softening your fix on them.
There's nothing for you to figure out now.
No thoughts to chase.
Sleep is arriving.
It is wanting to come and nurture you.
Allow yourself just to drift a little deeper,
Letting go of those tensions,
Reminding yourself you have done enough today.
Reminding yourself you're safe,
That you are enough.
And now it's time to let your extraordinary body and mind rest and rejuvenate.
Move towards the gentle sleep.
Allow it to wash over you.
Let yourself float.
You are safe.
There's nothing else to do,
Nowhere to be.
You've done enough.
You are enough.
Let your body move into rest.
Let it exhale the day.
You might even sigh,
Letting something go.
Feel your breath soften even more.
Each exhale invites surrender,
Safety.
And just let a softness wash over you.
Allowing your head to feel heavy.
Letting your eyes fall closed with ease.
Your jaw to soften and release the tension of the day.
And let your chest fall towards the earth.
Release your shoulders,
Your arms down to your fingertips.
Let your belly soften,
Your hips and thighs and your legs as they are supported.
And just let go of everything you've been holding on to and let yourself rest.
With each breath let yourself drift deeper into a nourishing sleep.
You are supported.
You are at ease.
And just allow yourself to slip into the quietness of slumber.
With peace and tranquility surrounding you.
