This mini meditation guides you in expanding your breath throughout your entire body. Develop awareness of your breath, strength of breathing muscles and lung capacity, through actively filling and emptying your body with air. One ring of the singing bowl will signal the beginning and 3 rings will signal the end of this meditation.

Transcript

To practice full body breathing,

Begin in a comfortable position,

Standing,

Sitting,

Or lying down.

Settle into your position and close your eyes so you can turn your attention to your natural breath.

Just watch the air moving into and out of your body.

Begin focusing your breath in the center of your core so that every inhale expands into your belly and your chest.

And every exhale softens your torso completely.

Take a few breaths in this way so every inhale expands from your hips to your neck in all directions.

And every exhale softens this area,

This core trunk of your body.

And over the course of your next few breaths,

Allow your expansion to go a little further so that every inhale expands not only your trunk,

But into your limbs,

Spreading down your legs and arms and even into your head.

Allow your exhales to soften from wherever the inhales landed back to center.

And with every breath,

Allow this expansion to go just a little further until you feel your whole body breathing.

And keep breathing in this way,

Feeling your entire body filling up,

Every tingling cell vibrating with fresh oxygen as you inhale,

And feeling every cell and all the spaces between them,

Softening and settling into the support beneath you on your exhales.
