Welcome,

This recording is an invitation to pause,

Breathe,

And remind yourself of the inner strength that's always been with you,

Even if it sometimes feels out of reach.

It's helpful to remember that feeling stressed or anxious doesn't always mean that something terrible is going to happen.

In fact,

Our brain doesn't know the difference between a real or imagined threat and will react to both in the same way.

When we can rule out impending disaster,

We can use the energy from anxiety toward healthy transformation.

This guided meditation is intended to support you in that effort.

Listening to these affirmations will help you expand and strengthen the internal resources you already have.

These affirmations are more than just positive phrases.

They are supportive thoughts that interrupt the stream of habitual,

Often critical thoughts that have become automatic.

With time and repetition,

They begin to reshape how we see ourselves and how we meet the challenges of life.

This is not about pretending that everything is okay.

It's about staying grounded in what's true and possible,

Even in the midst of difficulty.

As you listen,

Let the words settle gently.

If any part of you resists or feels unsure,

That's okay.

Over time,

These messages will become familiar and will feel more real.

Let's begin.

I understand that moments of suffering are part of being human,

And all emotions come and go like the waves of the ocean.

While finding relief may feel urgent,

In this moment there is nothing I need to force,

Fix or fight.

I trust that I have the inner resources to meet life's challenges and,

With time,

Will figure things out.

I remember all the obstacles I've overcome and the hardships I've endured,

And I can use these as evidence that I will be okay.

I can handle whatever comes my way,

Even when it doesn't seem so.

When I recognize I'm having a hard time,

I can pause and choose to do something supportive for myself.

I know that transitions can be uncomfortable.

I make space for all the emotions and thoughts that arise.

What I resist tends to persist.

What I pay attention to tends to grow.

So I choose to focus on the positive,

Knowing there is so much good in my life.

Endings and beginnings can bring all sorts of emotions,

Relief,

Grief,

Excitement and apprehension.

Many things feel bittersweet.

I make space for all of the emotions that arise,

Knowing that they will soon pass.

Things are always changing,

And I can make adjustments.

Challenges will arise,

But they will not break me.

Setbacks will come,

But they will not define me.

I remember the dialectic that two truths can exist at once.

My life can be going well,

And I can still face difficulty.

Life is unpredictable.

Some days bring joy.

Others bring sorrow.

But no matter what happens,

One truth remains.

I am stronger than I think.

When I am feeling overwhelmed,

I reclaim my power by focusing on what I can control.

I believe in myself.

I remember that I am capable.

And I know that I deserve good things.

Now,

Take a moment to let these phrases settle into your heart and mind.

Even if they don't feel entirely true with time,

They will feel more real.

And know that you've just given yourself the gift of intention and care.

And that matters.

You can come back and listen anytime you are feeling anxious or whenever you want to work on countering the automatic negative thoughts that often interfere with our well-being.

In the meantime,

Thank you for listening,

And be well.
