Ektaji leads us through a powerful meditation called 'Shoonyata (Nothingness) Meditation'. In this meditation, she guides us to touch the deeper levels of silence by being with Silence itself. The practice is greatly helpful in becoming aware of the chitter-chatter happening in the mind and to withdraw from all the words and just soak in the silence.

Saaam Saaam Saaam Meditation itself means being in that gap in between two thoughts,

In that Shunyata,

In that silence.

So let's make an attempt today to just be in Shunyata.

Now,

Close your eyes and just be.

Whatever I have said so far is echoing in your mind.

Do you see that?

That is nothing but self-talk.

Lovingly,

Kindly,

Just ignore it,

Drop it and take a step back and be in the silence of your own mind.

Suddenly a thought comes up and bothers your silence.

Thoughts are hidden behind each other.

They are playing hide and seek.

Recognise this and ignore it.

Quit the game now.

Again another thought comes up,

Questioning something,

Asking something,

Trying to pull your attention away from the silence.

Ignore it like you would ignore a weeping child in the middle of the street who is screaming for a toy.

If you give in to the stubbornness,

You will lose and the child will form a habit pattern that by screaming I get attention.

By being stubborn,

I get what I want.

Don't give in to this habit pattern of the mind.

Like a parent who is responsible,

Relax,

Smile and don't pay heed to that disturbing thought.

Empty the mind slowly but surely.

Empty the room completely,

No more furniture.

Let go,

Drop,

Empty,

Empty,

Empty.

Let go,

Just listen to the emptiness.

There is a sound in silence.

Just listen to silence.

Do not entertain any words.

Any words that come up is noise.

Empty the mind of all noise.

Let go,

Drop,

Listen to silence.

Have the courage to bear the inner silence.

Be with that emptiness within.

In that Shunyata,

You will hear the sound of your own heartbeat if you have become really quiet.

Listen to the sound of your own heartbeat if you have become really quiet.

Listen to the sound of your own heartbeat if you have become really quiet.

Listen to the sound of your own heartbeat if you have become really quiet.

Listen to the sound of your own heartbeat if you have become really quiet.

Listen to the sound of your own heartbeat if you have become really quiet.

In that Shunyata,

You can hear the gushing of your own blood if you have become very quiet.

Dissolve into that Shunyata.

Empty out the mind completely.

Just dissolve into silence,

Silence of nothingness.

Listen to the sound of your own heartbeat if you have become really quiet.

Listen to the sound of your own heartbeat if you have become really quiet.

You have been dissolving into the silence,

Into the Shunyata,

Into this nothingness for as long as you can.

Just dissolve,

Just dissolve.

Empty out the room completely.

No words.

Jai Shunya Tao.

Jai Silence after this.

Dissolve.

Listen to Shunya Tao.

This is real listening.

Dissolve into that sound of silence.
