Hello and welcome.
Thank you so much for joining me today for this energy focused and chakra balancing meditation.
I'm glad you're here.
I'd like you to begin by finding a comfortable seat that can be on a chair or on the floor or a meditation cushion.
You can even do this meditation lying down if that is best for you.
Once you're comfortable,
Allow your eyes to gently close if that feels safe and available or turn your gaze downward.
I'd like to begin today by talking about our physical body and our subtle body.
We are all well aware of our physical body.
The body that we can see,
That we can feel,
That we experience aches and pains in.
The subtle body is something that we cannot see,
But we can learn to feel and experience it.
This is our energy body which is made up of layers of energy.
It is affected by our emotions,
Our moods,
And our life circumstances.
If we learn how to control this energetic body,
We can learn to understand ourselves a bit better and create balance where we need it.
The body is made up of nadis or meridians that connect and allow this subtle body energy to flow throughout us.
They run in similar patterns to that of our nerves.
Throughout the body,
There are several points known as marma points.
Within these,
The chakras exist.
While there are hundreds of mini chakras,
Today we will move through the seven major chakras which correspond from the base of your spine to the crown of your head.
These seven chakras not only allow movement of our subtle energy,
But they do correspond to nerve plexuses where our nerves cluster in our physical body along the spine.
As we learn about each individual chakra,
We can learn to bring greater balance,
Remove imbalances,
And help our overall mind,
Body,
Emotions,
And well-being.
The word chakra itself means disc or wheel.
Each chakra represents a sort of vortex of energy with different vibrational levels.
It is believed that the lower body chakras,
Which are closer to the earth or ground,
Are related to more practical aspects of our lives.
The upper chakras represent more spiritual and mental aspects.
