Come into the space in which you find yourself for meditating.

Whether it's amid hustle and bustle or quiet and stillness,

And whether you are standing seated or lying down,

Take note of where you are with an accepting sensibility.

Settle into yourself with a generous awareness.

Accepting any feelings and emotions that are present.

Accepting any sensations in your body,

Good,

Bad,

Or neutral.

Releasing yourself from what came before and what might come next.

Just arriving into this moment,

In this space.

Becoming quiet.

Becoming more still.

Slowing down,

Even just a little bit.

And the rhythms of your body.

Slowing your breath.

Perhaps your pulse,

Even your digestion.

Coming into this very moment peacefully.

What makes you,

You?

What makes you smile about yourself?

What is the you that you love that makes you feel wow?

That is irreplaceable and unique.

Draw into that place of passion and compassion for you.

So if your mind drifts,

If you experience moments of irritability or negative thoughts about yourself,

Acknowledge them and let them go.

And return to the core of your warmth and love for yourself.

Breathing,

Slowing down,

Becoming still.

What is it about your body that fills you with wonder?

What are the actions and capacities that are unique to you and yours alone?

Elevate them in your mind.

What can your body do?

What unique combinations of actions are you uniquely capable of?

Take a moment to reflect on that.

Perhaps that knowledge fills you with joy or gratitude or just an inexpressible sense of wow that your body is capable.

If your mind drifts towards negativity or criticism or resentment,

Allow those thoughts and feelings to float away and return with a smile to the love of your physical form,

Your breathing,

Your breathing,

Slowing down and becoming quiet.

What's unique to your mind?

What thought patterns are only you capable of?

The curiosities and creativities that are yours alone,

Seek them out.

What can your brain do that no other brain can reproduce?

Lift that up for praise.

If you experience negativity or anxiety or resistance,

That's fine.

Observe it and let it drift away,

Coming back to your loving experience of your mind and its function.

Breathing,

Becoming more still,

Becoming more still,

Finding your smile expanding.

Last,

Consider your spirit,

Heart and soul.

What is your unique calling in this world?

The distinct mission that only you can fulfill.

What are you made to do and made to be and made to become at this moment?

Dry it up.

Know,

Without doubt,

That you have a unique place and purpose in this universe.

So hopefully aware now that you have a unique body,

A unique mind,

And a unique spirit.

How does that make you feel?

Are you surprised?

Perhaps you feel joy,

More gratitude,

More simple curiosity about that knowing.

So perhaps the easiest way to acknowledge this growing awareness is simply to say wow.

Wow,

I am unique.

Wow,

I am irreplaceable.

Wow,

I am special and I am whole.

Continuing to breathe.

In a recent yoga class we were guided to a space of self-love. This was new for me, so thank you, Alon, for helping me continue this path with this meditation.
