Tonight,
You do not need to solve anything,
Not tonight.
The mind often believes that night time is a perfect moment to review the day,
To analyze what happened,
To plan what might happen tomorrow.
But right now,
This moment is not for solving,
It is for resting.
So,
Allow yourself to pause,
Take a slow breath in,
And gently exhale,
Exhale,
Exhale.
Again,
Slow breathing in,
And softly letting the breath out.
Your body understands something very simple,
Exhale.
Night time is a perfect moment for restoration,
A moment when the nervous system can finally slow down.
But this happens most easily when we stop trying to figure things out.
So,
For the next few minutes,
You are invited to give your mind a small permission.
The permission to leave things unresolved until tomorrow.
So,
Whatever happened today can wait,
Whatever needs to be decided,
Whatever questions remain,
Nothing needs to be completed tonight.
So,
Take another slow breath,
And as you exhale,
Allow your shoulders to soften slightly,
And let the muscles of your face relax,
And the body begins to understand that it is safe to slow down.
Now,
Bring a gentle awareness to the natural rhythm of your breathing,
Not changing the breath,
Simply noticing it.
Each breath like a small wave moving through the body,
And with every exhale,
The nervous system begins to settle,
And thoughts may still appear.
This is natural,
The mind has been active all day,
You don't need to answer them,
You can simply allow them to pass by like clouds moving across the sky.
Allow the body to become more and more supported by the surface beneath you,
The muscles soften,
The nervous system begins to remember how to rest.
And for the next few moments,
Simply remain here,
