And just let yourself arrive here,
You don't need to do anything right now,
You don't need to figure anything out,
The day is done,
Whatever happened today it's already in the past,
And right now the only thing that matters is this moment,
This breath,
This body,
Let's start by simply noticing where you are,
There's something beneath you,
Holding you,
On the bed,
On the mattress,
On the floor,
It's there,
It's solid,
It is supporting you completely,
You don't have to hold yourself up,
You can let go of that job right now,
And take a slow breath in through your nose,
And a long slow exhale through your mouth,
Good,
And one more,
Not to fix anything,
Not to change anything,
Just notice,
And start at the top of your head,
Is there any tension there,
Any tightness in your scalp,
Your forehead,
Around your eyes,
You don't need to force it to relax,
You just need to notice it,
And often just noticing is enough,
The body knows how to relax and release when you stop fighting it,
And move down to your jaw,
Your mouth,
And your throat,
So many people hold tension there without realizing it,
So let your jaw soften,
Let your tongue fall gently from the roof of your mouth,
And let your throat be soft,
Noticing now your shoulders and your chest,
This is where anxiety lives in the body,
This tightness,
This bracing like you are waiting for something to go wrong,
You are safe right now,
Nothing is coming,
And there is nothing you need to brace for,
Take a breath into your chest,
Let it expand,
And as you exhale feel your chest soften,
And your shoulders drop,
Your whole upper body becoming a little heavier,
A little more settled,
And move your attention down to your belly and your lower back,
And let your belly be soft,
You don't need to hold it in,
You don't need to look a certain way right now,
Just let it go,
And feel your lower back sinking into the surface beneath you,
And now your hips,
Your legs,
All the way down to your feet,
Let your legs fall open slightly if that feels natural,
And let your feet relax,
The toes,
The soles,
The heels,
And take a moment now to feel your whole body at once,
Heavy,
Warm,
Supported,
Your nervous system has been working hard today,
It's been managing,
Responding,
Anticipating,
It's done its job and now it's time to let it rest,
I want you to imagine very simply that with every exhale your body is releasing a little more,
Not letting go of anything important,
Just the tension that was never yours to carry,
The residue of the day,
The subtle bracing,
The holding,
Breathe in gently,
Breathe out releasing,
Breathe in,
Breathe out letting the body settle even deeper,
Breathe in,
And out,
There's nowhere to go,
Nothing to solve,
Just this,
Your mind may still have thoughts moving through it,
That's ok,
You don't need to stop thinking,
You don't need to achieve some perfect state of silence,
Just let the thoughts be there,
Like clouds moving across the sky,

Just let them pass,
Your only job right now is to be here in this body,
