Greetings,
Wise individual.
In this audio meditation,
We will utilize the ancient technique of anapanasati,
Mindfulness meditation on breathing,
And delve into contemplations about the divine,
About the path of realizing our inner nature.
Find a comfortable,
Quiet place where you can sit on any surface,
Preferably semi-firm or firm.
It could be a chair,
Or you can sit in a half-lotus or lotus position.
Allow yourself to momentarily set aside all worries and thoughts,
Immerse yourself in the world of your inner tranquility,
And close your eyes.
Let's begin our journey.
Give yourself the opportunity to fully relax and focus under your nostrils on your breath.
And yes,
Throughout this meditation,
We will have to keep our backs straight.
And today,
We will have to sit still throughout the entire meditation.
So if you happen to move,
Consider yourself lost.
How long will you last,
Dear friend?
Immerse yourself in the awareness of your sensations.
Feel present in your body.
Feel how your still body touches the surface on which it resides.
In addition to complete stillness of the body,
Absorbing what inner freedom is,
Try to be attentive to your breathing,
Remembering it.
When you inhale,
Be aware of your inhale.
When you exhale,
Be aware of your exhale.
Continue to track your breath throughout the meditation in this way.
Feel how inhales and exhales naturally pass through your nostrils.
Allow yourself to be present in the moment,
Fully immersing yourself in I AM.
Direct all your attention under your nostrils and keep it there until the end of the meditation.
Take an even closer look.
What is happening there?
What sensations arise?
Begin by acknowledging that all the elements necessary for a satisfying existence are already present within us.
The Divine dwells in each individual,
Offering an invaluable wellspring of insight and power.
As the saying goes,
God is everything,
There is nothing in the world greater than God.
Thus,
When our devotion is to the Divine,
This is the essence of true non-attachment or vairagya.
In time,
Every person and every cherished thing in our lives will part from us.
They are not ours to keep indefinitely.
Such is the transient nature of existence.
With each departure,
We are often filled with grief and apprehension.
This pattern persists until we come to terms with the constant of change and discover solace in the everlasting nature of our true self by connecting with the Divine.
There is nothing greater than God in the world.
Therefore,
When we are attached to God,
This is true vairagya.
Sooner or later,
All people and things we cherish leave us.
They cannot stay with us forever.
Such is the nature of life.
Every time something or someone disappears from our lives,
We experience sorrow and fear.
This cycle continues until we accept the inevitability of change and find faith in the eternity of our true self through our connection with God.
Imagine you are navigating through a treacherous mountain pass when suddenly the ground beneath you gives way.
You find yourself clinging to the edge of a precipice with the abyss yawning below.
Every second is a battle against the pull of gravity and your grip is slipping.
In this moment of life-threatening danger,
Would you not summon every ounce of your strength to pull yourself to safety?
Would you not cry out for rescue with the utmost urgency,
Knowing that your very existence hangs by a thread?
This same level of desperation and immediate action should be mirrored in your spiritual endeavors to connect with the Divine.
Let's begin by realizing that everything a person needs for a fulfilling life is already within them.
God resides in each of us and this is a priceless source of wisdom and strength.
As it is said,
God is all.
This is the same persistence with which you need to strive for the realization of God,
For God-realization.
Imagine a person who finds themselves in deep water and doesn't know how to swim.
This is the same persistence with which you need to strive for the realization of God,
For God-realization.
This is how strongly and persistently you need to strive to dissolve into the infinite absolute.
It is important to constantly be aware of the bitterness of not yet having achieved the vision of God.
In every moment,
Your heart should ache from the pain of this realization.
The key to the true meaning of life lies in our attachment to God,
Not to external objects.
Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras says that attachment to God and non-attachment to the world is a way of life that frees us from suffering and grants true freedom.
Now let's look at situations where we experience something unpleasant.
Often our experiences are tied to the fact that we identify ourselves with certain roles or ideas.
For example,
A mother worried about her child may forget about her own existence,
Completely absorbed in caring for him,
And as if she no longer exists,
She becomes this child,
And as soon as something happens to him,
She suffers too.
Ramana Maharshi said,
The only useful purpose of this birth is to turn inward and realize the Self.
There is nothing else to do.
The only useful purpose of this birth is to turn inward and realize the Self.
There is nothing else to do.
Remember your breath,
Inhaling,
Awareness is given,
Inhale is done,
Exhaling,
Awareness is given,
Exhale is done,
Inhaling,
Awareness is given,
Inhale is done,
Exhaling,
Awareness is given,
Exhale is done.
Breathing occurs with full attention and presence.
Remember that true freedom comes when we free ourselves from attachments and find inner happiness in the presence of God within us.
Let's continue our meditation with the realization that,
Where there is attachment,
There is no true freedom.
Continue to observe your breath until the end of the audio session.
Only then will you develop true tranquility and inner peace.
