I invite you to find a seat on a chair,
A cushion,
The floor or your bed.
Begin to straighten the spine,
Growing nice and tall,
But allow your muscles to relax.
Maybe you find comfort placing your hands softly on your knees or gently by your side.
Briefly check in with your body.
Maybe you'll allow your shoulders to drop,
The jaw to soften,
The tension to release.
Begin to invite relaxation into the body.
Do you feel the breath?
Do you hear the breath?
Do you visually see the breath?
Maybe you begin to allow yourself to smile as you breathe.
Do you notice what that does to your body?
Notice if your mood changes in any way.
Notice how you're feeling as you smile brightly,
Even if you aren't in a smiling,
Happy mood.
Begin to inhale and exhale with awareness,
Keeping that smile throughout this meditation.
For the next few moments,
As you inhale,
Imagine positivity flowing through the body.
And as you exhale,
Imagine negativity releasing.
Continue to smile,
Continue to breathe,
Continue to relax.
As you continue throughout your day,
Invite positivity,
Invite calmness,
And invite a smile.
