I invite you to begin laying on your back.
Maybe take this moment to grab a pillow or blanket to place under your head or your legs.
The comfort in this present moment.
As you begin to settle in,
Let's take this moment to pause and breathe.
Begin to notice the sensations that are flowing through your body as you're laying down.
Maybe begin to draw your attention to those sensations.
I invite you to begin to lower the gaze,
Close the eyes,
Or find something around you to focus on.
Begin breathing slowly,
Breathing deeply.
And we begin to control everything around us.
We bring stress,
Anxiety,
Frustrations,
And so many emotions into our bodies.
In this moment,
Let's begin to release.
What does releasing look like for you?
Does it mean releasing control?
Releasing stress?
Releasing anxiety?
Maybe it's releasing the pressures of our day to day lives.
Start to listen to the sound of your breath flowing in and out of your nose.
Let's begin to draw our attention to the breath.
To really help us begin releasing that control during challenging times,
I invite you to begin counting on your next inhale to three.
And as you exhale,
Count to six.
So let's begin slowly.
Inhale 123.
And let's exhale 123456.
Inhale 12356.
Continue to inhale and exhale through the nose.
Maybe you pick a different set of numbers that serve your body better.
Wherever you are,
Just breathe slowly.
Breathe deeply.
Let's all return back to normal breath.
I offer this mantra to you when you're facing challenging times.
Begin to pause and say these words and your mind are out loud.
As you inhale,
Repeat I will.
And as you exhale,
Repeat let go.
As you inhale,
I will.
And as you exhale,
Let go.
As you inhale,
I will.
And as you exhale,
Let go.
Continue with this mantra,
I will let go.
And that let go can be anything you need in that moment.
That let go can be anything you need to return back to a calming breath.
